TURNPIKE TRAILOR TIRES

Taiwan ,china, Korean, etc, are there any really difference tire in quality ?? I know some will say yes ,but I imagine there are some specs all tires must meet to be sold for hwy use. Other than short tread life on some of the car/truck tires, never had a tire failure. For trailer tires For me it's a toss up. I've got the cheapest 235x85x16"s I could buy on my dump trailer and haven had a tire failure yet and that's hauling 6-7 tons a load. I usually end up replacing trailer tires long B-4 the tread is gone due to dry rot

Chris,

Are there still different versions of the Greenball, or is that info out of date as well?

There are. I only use the Tow Master Radials. I will not touch a bias anything.

I agree about replacing well before they Wear Out. A dump trailer for most is easy on tires due to short distances towed. Campers and boat trailers are usually the worst. People want to get there so they drive fast and it's usually a hour or more at a time. Heat is the enemy. Speed and inflation create it.

This thread could probably also use some comments on using the proper valve and rim if you get higher rated tires. If I remember correctly other threads pointed out that the E range tires (which I got) needed an air pressure which exceeded many of the lowly rubber valves.

That's correct. I use bolt in HP metal valve stems
