Pallets in fields

I think that I have found the answer. The pallets are just the beginning. After adding a few sheets of plywood and a 5 gallon bucket for plumbing, this will be the new type of rural condo.
You must mean, like my house.

Sir, I apologize. I sometimes get my knickers in a bunch.

Emily

Dearest Emily,
In my utter exhaustion of the previous evening, I failed to question the appropriateness of the allusion to the existence of "underthings" in polite conversation.

Would you be so gracious as to supply a definitive ruling on this matter?

How embarrassing. I must have been tiddly as a consequence of imbibing too much Madeira as a pousse-café last evening.

This brings up a question that came up the other day:
When you are assisting the septic tank man in pumping out your tank, and you accidentally fart, is it proper to say excuse me?

Please excuse ME for an uninvited rebuttal, but although I agree it may be "proper" to say excuse me, under these circumstances it is certainly not necessary. In my estimation, Emily has overstepped "proper" bounds. No apologies or embarrassment should be involved, and the persecution of stuckmotor must stop at once. In fact, a certain smug pride would be both expected and excusable in this instance, particularly if the fart in question was clearly audible over the truck-pumping noises.

Perhaps a more important issue at stake here is exactly why and how was stuckmotor "assisting" with any septic maintenance activities? Was this proper?

I will leave the remaining issue of how one "accidentally" farts, or if stuckmotor's fart was in fact "accidental" for others to explore.

pousse-café? The French are so delicate in these matters. I am more familiar with the higher octane postprandial German fett verteiler.

In any case, this is entirely understandable and you have no need for any embarrassment.

I agree -- stuckmotor has some explaining to do.

I suggest two 5 gallon buckets for a modern home, one for outgoing, one for incoming.
