A local dairy farmer in his mid 60's once told me "If I thought I'd live this d*mn long I woulda took better care of myself".

There is a country store I frequent for breakfast and/or lunch about three times a week, it is close enough that I often drive there on the tractor when ever the urge hits. The owner 4 year old granddaughter is usually there, the other day she told me she doesn't like naps. An older guy looked up from his plate and said "that'll change".

I'm 53 years and 13 days. Pretty much average. But I am getting a little more gray in my beard. A couple of weeks ago I was needing to kill some time before I picked up my new glasses, so I decided to have a cup of coffee at Burger King. The lady charged me 27 cents for it. She gave me a Sr coffee without even asking. So in the course of half an hour, I got new glasses and my first Sr coffee. The writing is on the wall. {and with the new glasses, I could even read it}

Why are so many announcing their age and then the age they will be on the anniversary of their birth??? :confused3: Isn't just +1?

I could understand it if they were leap year babies but they aren't.

I love it here, just about 10 Ks to the main beach where there are a lot of distractions. Very popular as a holiday destination. King tide today and big surf (I am not a surfer)
