Run it down low on fuel. Pull it out with shop vac. Worked for me.

I did. I was trimming the edge off the cut dirt "bank" to make it a slope instead off a "wall". I do this or used to do this by dropping front bucket edge to be like a grader blade and then back up and it just peels the edge off to make a slope. To my surprise, when I pushed the bucket down to add some weight to it the tractor just laid down on it's side. Surprise! Surprise!

first of all I would say you should pump the tank out so you can see what is what. you could use one of those little plastic Kerosene squeeze pumps or just unhook the fuel line at its lowest point and drain it. and by the way that camera does have like a 2' flexible reach. we have one at work and it comes in mighty handy at times. the flexible line also has a built in light so you need no additional light, just put it in and look.

I don't recommend this approach...

What do you mean you don't recommend this. It's that fastest, easiest way.
Plus you can put a fan guard on at the same time.

And, if you do it just right, you can suck up and burn all your old oil too to avoid the hassle of disposing of it. While its on its side, you can then do an in-frame overhaul...

You should be able to snag that screen with a wire with a hook on the end. Great thing about screen is it hooks easy and once hooked will stay hooked.
