Ever wish you had more snow?

I double fisted two leaf blowers to clean a single rut for about a 1/3 of a mile today. This is so I can get the jeep to and from the house. Otherwise, we have to park at the gate and walk. Also we have to use a wheelbarrow to get wood. The road is so treacherous that even wet, it's unsafe for the 4x tractor.

I'm starting to think an expensive snow blower purchase would keep the weather at bay.

I'll be out tomorrow morning cleaning up the 8" snow ice mix that is on the ground, probably going to wish I had chains. The 2wd ford won't be leaving the barn, so it will be up to the Kubota.

Thanks for the link, scary for sure. It seems like I always get in the most trouble when I try to run out and get something done quick. I'm not sure what percent grade I have but it is steep.

Well the good news is that the ground is so well frozen now that you can plow the driveway wherever you want it to be without hurting anything.

That's a nice looking home-site you have there. Looks like it's up high with good views.

thats why i chain up all 4 with the double ladder links. this baby wont slide. Ive had it on hills in ice and it does amazingly well. tears up the ice actually. But luckily i dont have hills with steep dropoffs. that i wouldn't want to play around.

Yeah, Kevin's story is one that I am all too familiar with. You get the beast sliding sideways and it's something you don't forget. I am just plain "chicken" to take mine out in the snow, with the hills I have. :shocked:

been snowing for past 4 hours...about 4 more inches on ground. alert on tv says expect snow thru 4pm tomorrow. then guess what. expect temps to climb to 40F for following 6 days with rain 40-80% all days. this sucks. finally get a good bed so i can start horses on sleighs...and its all going to go away

I heard today that a neighbors pole barn when down from snow load.time for some melting here.
