There ought to be a way that you could burn those scammers. Some time ago I had a item for sale on Craig list. Someone sent me a e-mail and wanted it. Said they would send a business check and I could deposit it and then they would send someone to pick it up. I thought I would jerk their chain a little. I said ok. They had Fed=X overnight me a check. I called the bank it was written on and it was a bogus check. It was Fed -x from Atlanta Ga. Sent them a e-mail and asked where I should send the paper work to. They gave me a address in N.C I had not given them a home address only a business address. I gave the check and paper work to the police. Called them and said the item was ready to be picked up and I gave them the address of the police station. Another fellow I know seen something on E-Bay. They wanted a check and said it was in Was. and would be shipped from there as soon as they received the money. He asked where he should sent the money to. They gave him a name and address in Tex. He went to Wal-mart and went to the magazine rack and got a bunch of those cards you send for a subscription and sent them with their name and address

Evidently this like was taken down by E-Bay or something happened because if you click on the link I had posted , it will take you somewhere else or maybe it was hijacked by the poster on e-bay.

The seller on Ebay had 308 sales with 100% positive feedback.Plus, you are covered by Ebay's protection plan.He would not have 100% positive feedback,or even be on Ebay if he was a scammer.
The other add in Indy was from last Nov.15
Looks like the Ebay seller(from Houston Tx.) got a good buy on this, and resold it.
Now he has 309 sales(gts75ta) check him out for yourselves

I like your thinking... I wish these guys would be caught and shot. Sorry, but I get sick of these types that scam. I am not as tolerant as I once was and I think if the punishment was harsher, the crimes would be reduced. A simple suspended sentence does nothing.

you dont understand what happens alot on ebay. people respond to fake emails about their ebay accounts and when they respond with their passwords..bammo their accounts are scammed. then the scammer sells non existant items they take pictures from somewheres else. It happens alot. when i was looking at ebay for horse trailers, nearly every nice gooseneck di found didnt exist. they were all newer $30,000 trailers selling for $4,00 or $7,500...that sort of thing. if you respond to the seller you get the scammer.

they all want to be paid a deposit OUTSIDE of paypal....they want bank drafts. this is the 1st clue its bogus.

Ebay even has a post on how to spot these fakes.

You are the one that is confused. This sale was on Ebay-not craigslist.Read the post that Ebay has on how to spot the scams on "Craigslist".They do it all the time on "Craigslist" and claim it is covered by Ebay protection.
This was not on "Craigslist" it was on Ebay.
You have Ebay confused with craigslist.

Just wait a while, he will pay someone to come take it. All he will need is their bank account info.

GRS is right...it was obviously a hijacked account...Also e-bay /paypal's protection services are very limited on automotive sales (anything with wheels)...it is nothing like they have for more common item sales..
