Well we dodged a bullet yesterday....Ice all around us...but we only got a small amount of icing on the trees and about 2 inches of sleet/ snow on the ground...we had no tree or property damage...whew!...Streets are in bad shape and will be until Saturday...my best guess...Hope you folks up North and East dodge this storm too...

I hope all you guys that are getting snow are ok. We are used to it up here, and the local governments handle it, some better than others. One thing here is the salt, I'd hate to guess how much they use, many thousands of tons, I'm sure. I am going to my wife's shop in a bit, the insulation guys blew some insulation into a furnace by mistake. Got it cleaned out and running, but I need to get things done right today. The joys of running your own business are never ending.....

flakes are getting bigger and heavier. should go out and take some pics.

I've got 6-8" with drifts. the top is 1/4" of freezing rain, very tiring to walk through.

I think the only way I will ever get out is to fire up the Kioti, change the grapple for bucket ad somehow reduce the amount of snow to a manageable level on at least part of the driveway... But phase two has not started yet...

I need it clear before tomorrow afternoon when I go get my girls for the weekend...

Good Morning. 0930, overcast, 40F with 85% humidity. Forecast high of 57F this afternoon, and a low of 34F tonight. I saw some sunshine when I first got up, but it's gray again now. But it ain't freezing. I can handle gray better than white. All you guys under the gun of the storm stay safe and warm.

I see a bright future for the Corvette Museum. They can now advertise as a venue to see world class cars, as well as having cave tours

Good morning all. 16F this morning and sunny, going to 44F, second day above freezing after 12 days of never cracking the freezing mark. Clipper tomorrow 1-3 in of snow. Weatherman says 20 mile change in the storm track can change the snow amount drastically.

I used to be an Oracle on Unix dba. I know the challenges of application package upgrades from supporting databases running Oracle Financials. Fortunately, I never had to mess with the "features" in the application itself. :laughing: My main concern on production systems was knowing I had a good export backup to restore from before the fun began. Large sites with full test systems are expensive, but more fun.

Newer versions of Syteline are on SQL, older versions through V6 are on Progress.

first wave of the storm left ten inches of what is now heavy wet snow, and tonight likely another several inches, enough
to have to go back out and clean up again. Just took an hour nap...that shoveling was great exercise.
