It's tough to find a shop that'll do it but it's not hard to find someone that does it on the hush hush. SC doesn't have yearly inspections either so that helps.

I got two well known shops within 20 miles that will do whatever you want as long as long as you can write the check.

I do all my own work.

How much do they charge? Depends on what you have done I guess?

If you go for an 08-10 6.4 do the dpf delete. Its an awesome motor with a ton of power. I have a 2010 with the dpf delete chipped and i get awesome mileage huge power, very reliable.

They are very reasonable. I know a couple Dmax guys that had the EGR removed and a 50HP tow program installed. Under $400.

Wow that is a good price to bulletproof an engine. I'm not sure what my friend paid to have his 6.4 done but it really woke up that truck and the mileage went way up. I've even heard guys who owned 6.4's with the delete say they preferred it over the 6.7 after owning both.

Yes, the 6.4 with the deletes is a great platform and the Torque Shift can handle it without any mods.

Yep. In surprised the Torque Shift doesn't get the praise that the Allison gets. The Allison is great in stock form but you can destroy one easily when you start modding a Duramax.
