Having a hard time finding dust caps for the couplers

Not sure if these will work JD uses them on the deluxe couplers on their M series tractors. They snap on the outer ring of the couplers and have a spring loaded door that opens to use the coupler. Part numbers go from RE268228 to RE268233. Keys 8-13 on the drawing.
The come in three colors, Green Blue and brown; and are marked extend or retract. You might want to take one of your couplers to a JD dealer and see if they fit before buying.

Aaron, I don't see a complete cap for the female ends. All I see are the std type plugs for the female ends and caps for the male ends.
Alia 176, I guess that I don't understand why a person even wants caps for the female ends. Get a good plug and you will be dirt free. Just not that big of a deal IMO.

Sorry, I was unclear. By "yep" I was agreeing with you that caps aren't available, only plugs.

alia176: I think that your "cap for a female pneumatic coupler" is actually a cap for a 1/2" "Ag Coupler" (a different style, but the same function as the one I posted the picture of). The plug I linked to does well, but if you have a recess (like Kubota does, shown below), Deere sells a male plug version of the one you posted as a your "cap for a female pneumatic coupler" and I have used two of those on our Kubota after the OEM plugs (which are identical to the clear plug you posted a picture of) got lost. I have been very happy with them.

Here are the Deere dust plugs installed on our L3830:

I don't know the part number, but I went into the Deere dealer and they had them on one of the pegboards out on the floor...
The ones I linked to from Tractor Supply dont work in this application as the edge of the quick connect is slightly recessed and the TSC one doesnt fit in there.
The Deere ones work well as the lanyard connects to the middle and you can trim around the outside (so it fits in the recess) without making the lanyard connection weak.

Go to ebay. look up "Thesmartfarmer". he has 1/2 and 3/8 inch caps and plugs.
When you buy now, or bid, you have to let him know what size you need.

Here is what I have done and it only cost a few cents.

Jim, I hope those tees you installed are in the Tank line and not a pressure line. They are only rated for 125# pressure. Forged steel fittins rated above your operating pressure are the only safe and proper way. Also teflon tape is a no-no on hydraulic fittings. Little pieces of the Teflon get in the system and clog up the small passages. Always use Teflon paste paste and leave the first two threads dry. I learned the hard way when re-piping a gun mount on a Navy ship back in my younger days. Had to take it all apart and redo, 5 day job per mount and there were 3 of them. The boss was pi**ed.

Parker series 60 QCs are used on a lot of tractors, including my BX25. Parker makes plugs and caps for their stuff and I got them at my local HYD shop. They have those nice straps to hold them on the hose or fitting. I am sure other manufacturers make them for their products also. A Hyd shop may not stock them but they sure can order them. Parker does not sell direct, others may. With the service factor gone to H**L in the market place the consumer has to now be the aggressor or you get nowhere.

Aaron, nothing surprises me with DIY projects, you see a lot of less than desirable solutions. I am not familiar with his tractor. He may be OK, but it may help some other guy not make a dangerous mistake. Hot HYD fluid spraying around can produce some painful burns.

That hydraulic line you are wondering about is the pressure relief valve return to the tank. Once the oil leaves the relief valve the pressure drops almost to zero in comparison - so no problem. The clear plastic line is the vent line I extended up to the canopy - out of the way.
