BX25-D Fuel Filter Conversion

Paul, looking forward to watching you new videos when I get some free time. As for pressure washing your piece of art, I trust you take the chain saw out? Anyway, great work, and inspiring. Now, even though it's like 15 degrees (F) out, I gotta go check my fuel filter. Or, maybe wait... I fixed up skid shoes for my rear blade, hoping it would help with digging into our gravel lane, but all they do is create grooves, so I have to fuss with the blade height constantly, or just leave an inch or so of snow.

Another nice, instructive video. That new fuel filter is a huge improvement over the OEM plastic, out-of-reach-out-of-site ones. I left my skid plate off after running the new hoses for the Landpride Grapple so I can replace the under deck filter come Spring. You have me thinking about making the same mod, but I'm not sure I could pull it off with the tools that I have available. If I don't, I'm thinking of at least adding a fuel shut off cock under the deck and just before the first OEM filter. Do you know the inside diameter of the Kubota fuel line? Is is standard 1/4" line or larger? Your Gates fuel line looks large, but I can't tell from the video what the inside diameter is. Thanks

I think it's a worthwhile mod. That oem plastic filter is in an awful place. Just remember to go from your tank line to your filter then back to your fuel pump and that way your pump is protected. I ran 5/16th line as a replacement. If you used the same filter assembly the fuel shut off is built into it. The OEM line looked large as well and the Gates was about the same diameter. It worked out well.

Made a cradle for the Grapple yesterday so I could move it around the shed. After all it do weigh 135 lbs.
Glad you liked the vid. Thanks

Nice mod. Do you know if the micron ratings are the same between the two filters?

Nice dolly for the grapple! Do you have any photos of the dolly for the bucket?

No I don't but I'm thinking if the filter assembly I used is good enough for all the grand L's then it should be hood enough for the BX. I also left the smaller filter up by the injection pump in place as well. That might not have been nesassary but I did it anyway.

I will, just haven't built it yet ;)
Maybe this week coming.

HEY ! ! ! Excellent conversion video. Thanks a bunch ! ! ! I will be doing this also, as soon as budget permits it (Fixed income). I, too have had enough of trying to change clogged filters in COLD weather. Even though we don't get as cold here in Missouri as you do, it is STILL tough to do in the snow.

Thanks, again. Keep up the good work.

Sorry. Forgot about this question. I'll post a photo on the bucket dolly later today.

Thank you sir. The fuel filter conversion worked out perfectly. I put 50 hours on it since and not an issue. Worked flawlessly actually. No more crawling under the machine changing out that silly little filter ;)
