I was actually referring to the women. Your guys just whipped our butts start to finish. It was the ladies that shocked us.

As for Vancouver, I prefer to recall the Bruins in Vancouver.

Who us! No. Ok but your taking it well :D

No crying over the men's game. You guys dominated. I cannot believe our women gave up two goals in the last few minutes though. And, the hockey gods were with you when the empty net shot bounced off the post.

I actually enjoy watching high level women's hockey more than men's. Checking doesn't improve the game IMO.

Neither do the fights that predominate pro hockey. For cripes sake just skate. What if there was a fight after every 4th play in the NFL? Going to pro hockey is like going to Roller Derby. I know many enjoy the fights and might even go just for them but to me its a crowd of knuckle draggers that like that kind of stuff. Anybody liking fights should get in a few yourself. The game should just be played with people skating and stick handling to the best of their ability.

Agree. Checking is the cause of a lot of the fighting so I would get rid of it. The women's game is much faster in the sense of having more skating, passing etc and less manhandling each other along the boards.

If it were up to me, I'd just keep raising the "no checking" age until those kids turned into Pros then ban checking completely in about ten years. There is no checking now until ?Bantam so kids are used to playing without it. Just advance the age so the current cohort of 12 year olds never checks.

Morning, I have re-rigged my grapple lines, no tape, just one bungie and zip ties. I need to find the 'bulk fitting' that was mentioned in this thread. Any clues? As far as rough hockey, I too after a life of hockey, have quit watching because of the violence. I had to stop playing at 49 because of a hip replacement, but in my early days (late 50's and 60's) in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick fighting was the right thing to do if someone was out of order. The plan was to get in the first punch on the offender and that would usually end it. I played industrial hockey in the rough west end of Toronto and that was punishing to say the least. Now at 67 I agree with Island, the womens game is better to watch, more real skillful hockey, and now I play with the Kioti and the Stihl teams. Not as many bruises!

If you look at the Surplus Supply catalogue you may find bulkhead mounts. However, if you can bend a piece of 1/8 or 3/16 steel into a 90 degree angle and then drill two holes in one side to fit the end of the hydraulic hoses before attaching quick connectors on the other side to secure the hoses in place, you can do it with scrap metal. Just weld or even use long hose clamps to attach the "mount" to the torque tube.

I cannot find the mounts on surplus center. I did find this which is a bit unusual but would still serve the purpose. Just clamp the hoses and secure the mount to the torque tube: 1 IN TWO WIRE DUAL HYDRAULIC HOSE CLAMP

4shorts used those to route his hoses on his backhoe hydraulic thumb mod. Apparently worked quite well.

I sure did and I'm very happy with them. I painted them to get rid of that awful green though. In my video I show how I attached them as well ;)
They were also used in my grapple mod on my 5740. A great way to secure your hoses
