Nice builds. I enjoyed your videos. I'll have to look for more.

Thanks. Happy to hear you like the builds and the videos. I put two more videos up on the new fuel filter conversion I did on the BX.
Should make a difference.

Great vids Paul, always look forward to them. Hey where do you get your Kubota orange and gray paint? I'd like to do some touch up's and also paint my own mods but I can't seem to find anything localin SJ, (town). Of course I've not tried the boys on Kenmount rd yet!!!

Thanks neighbour ;). Glad your enjoying this stuff. If you want to buy bulk paint then head over to Paridot Sales. The guys can mix it for you. If you just want the shaker cans then the parts department over to NL Kubota got plenty of it there.

Paul,

These are great installs and thanks for sharing. Did you put any thought into using existing hydraulics for the BH bucket and just tee these two cylinders together so they would open and close together? Shut off valves could be used on the thumb when not in use. Just brainstorming....

Also wondered if anyone has seen a BH or FEL grapple that was a scissor type design that would use linkages to open and close that could use existing hydraulics in lieu of needing to add third functions.....again, brainstorming....

I thinl a tee fitting would cause floppy bucket syndrome.

Westendorf makes a grapple type attachment like what you are talking about. They have a small version for SCUT size tractor loaders. However, theirs are only made for loaders that have dual cylinders for curl function. On loaders with a single curl cylinder (like BXs) they won't work.

Why just the one cylinder?

In shopping not long ago it seems that everyone else has two....and the old saying two is better then one....or is it? I looked very hard at the MF GC series as well as the Deere....they all have pluses and minuses to them....The deere was pretty close, IMHO better loader control position and looks, two cyl, but plastic...who wants a plastic tractor...but then they make plastic guns and I don't care for those as well.

One thing on the smaller Deere tractors is that you can't raise and curl the loader at the same time. Something to do with the type of FEL valve they use vs Kubota. I didn't realize that at the time I was shopping, but not being able to use both functions at the same time would have me frustrated now that I'm use to it. As far as the single cylinder, quite a few of those huge wheel loaders use single, large cylinders.
