Cat makes their construction equipment. The ag part is from agco. That is built by someone else!

To make it a little more clear, Cat no longer has any affiliation with Challenger, or any agricultural equipment. The Challenger line of tracked tractors was sold lock stock and barrel to Agco, which has since expanded it into other lines of ag equipment.

It depends on how hard your willing to work to find your parts for any older tractor. Case in point is the venerable Powerking Economy. Last produced in the early 70s. Parts are available but you really have to look.
I bought a Power King 1620 (built by ISS) in 1994, brand new. They got sold a couple of times after that, finally to Yahoo Kees (or something like that). They stopped production in the late 90's, early 2000's. My dealer and his son actually tried to buy Power King from Yahoo Kees, but they wanted too much money for what they had to offer. A few obsolete, worn out dies for sheet metal, worn out molds for fiberglass parts for the newer models, a few components, not much else. They wanted 3 million, my dealer offered them 1 million, which he considered more than it was worth, but he loved those tractors and wanted to set up a new factory in upstate NY (he had the knowledge and money to do it, used to own a steel building manufacturing company.) He planned to update them slightly and maybe add a 4wd model.

True... Cat sold the line to AGCO around 2002.

Bobcat sold compact TLB and now don't... they never made them... only rebranded.

Hard for me to believe that Cub can't seem to get the compact tractor thing right. They kinda started it.

Isn't Cub Cadet now a division of MTD?

Does Ford New Holland still have sub compacts made by?? or have they dropped this from their line up?

I know that Montana is no longer viable, but I am miffed that I can't even find INFO about the brand. For instance, I have a 2009 Montana 3040 with FEL that has their proprietary quick attach (not SSQA) and ALL I WANT TO KNOW is what implements are (were?) available for it. Otherwise, I am going to swap it out for a pin-on SSQA adapter. I mean, seriously, why is there such a lack of information, much less parts or implements, for a five year old tractor? Anyway, that off my chest, does anyone know the answer or know where such implements exist? I am looking mainly to get a hydraulic auger and maybe a tree shear for my 3040.

As far as I know Montana quick attach was not proprietary it is the same as everyone else's or at least mine (2009 R4944) is. I have bought forks and a grapple and they fit like a glove, I used the neighbors attachments (Quick attach Kubota) and they fit fine. Your loader should have been made by amerequip

If you type in Montana Tractors in your search box it should come up as a parts and service company Montana Tractors: Parts, Service and Warranty
go to contact us and there is a form you fill out and send in questions or a phone number to call. I just filled out the form over the summer looking for one of the handles for the quick attach received an email the next day. They had the part in stock gave me a price, I called gave him a credit card number and had the part in a day or two real easy. I have emailed them and talked with them several times not for parts really once I just wanted the paint code so I could get some mixed up, another I was just asking who made the loaders they have been real helpful each time. The only reason they shut down is because they irritated LS when they bought the farmtrec factory and they stopped selling tractors to them. I really haven't had any trouble with the Montana and I really like it, even had warranty work done at the end of the warranty period and I bought it new in 2010 so that warranty work was done just last March. Oh well I am just rambling now hope this info helps.

When I was shopping just a few weeks ago I did not see any.

Ford is done ... they haven't made tractors for a long time. New Holland is now owned by Fiat. (Case-NH). Case-NH compacts are made by LS-Mtron

The new holland shibuira sub compacts are gone. They were the tz series. Seems like a lot of money to turn away.

When I went tractor shopping the closest dealer sold Kubota and New Holland.

I was leaning towards Kubota and was being pushed to New Holland be the Dealer... said they had been a Ford dealer since the 1920's.

Glad I went Kubota because the Dealer is gone and I would have an orphan...
