KCENDER said "Very good looking job on a nice modification, definitely better than the factory setup.Would look really good with an exhaust stack on the other side." on the post where I modified the intake and air filter on my B7800. So I did it, removed the muffler and tail pipe and replaced it with a straight through system, home made out of scrap metals (cost 0.00). Now it looks and sounds like a real tractor......

Didn't have any chrome in my scrap pile, but I did increase the size of the pipe and did a slash cut ;-(

Looks good.Would love to hear how it sounds, especially with no muffler.I have thought of putting a stack on my B2620,mainly to keep soot off the loader, but haven't got up the nerve to cut a hole through the side panel.

One thing I found interesting is that Kubota uses the same size muffler on the 17hp as they used on my 30hp. You would think that the exhaust is restricted on the larger tractor. I think it sounds good without the muffler.

I would want an additional brace or mounting point on the stack. That much leverage onthe exhaust manifold would likely to break something if you get into some low hanging branches. Most facory ones are mounted in additional places. Mine will be, got a good lung full of fumes hookin chains up to the loader bucket last night, need a stack. Like yours, likely straight piped! How loud is it?

Yeah that exhaust should now be piped directly into your face and lungs!

We need a video of the straight piped sound

Yes I can see that additional work is needed to allow for flexing and additional bracing is needed. Also I found after operating it the sound is to loud and am going to have to find some kind of baffle to make it a little less noisy. But the tractor did seem to have a little more power, does not bog down as easy..

Like the smell of diesel exhaust:thumbsup:.... The exhaust actually goes way above my head, it comes out with enough force, plus the heat of the exhaust makes it rise, no exhaust hitting me even when I am running at full speed. The sound is to loud and I am going to figure out how to baffle it down a little.
