Watch out for shipping charges. The EA rake seems like a good value. Another data point on used. I bought a nice 6' York brand with gauge wheels for $250 off of CL a few years ago. The problem with CL is that you have to be patient and sometimes wait a while for the right deal to come along. We often don't have that patience or on in urgent need right away.

The guy is stating its a Woods rake.

Does it really look like a Woods rake to anybody?

Reading a lot of reviews on the TSC rakes and there seems to be a big quality issue. Lots of people posting reviews of bending these rakes rather quickly.
I always though the angle iron styles were cheep, but I'm hearing differently and can not be sure this is the angle iron style without more pics

Just curious...exactly where did I profess to being an expert on landscape gauge wheels?...maybe you are so far above being an expert you can judge...?
Perhaps the fact that I mentioned not being able to see how my results could get any better set you off...maybe you should re-read what I said...I am not relying on the "lift" I use both the top and tilt cylinders///the latter to do exactly what you describe the wheels doing...

IMO, if the terrain etc. change that much between the wheels of the tractor and the gauge wheels of the rake differ that drastically a rake is not the right implement to be using...!

It looks like he either had a typo, or didn't realize the way that wording would sound. He was saying "I don't profess to be an expert", rather than telling you "Don't profess to being an expert"....he just left the "I" off his sentence.

While I'm waiting on more info on the Rake, I came across this 7' back blade. I'd need to reduce its size for my tractor, but looks interesting.

He said the name starts with a Cir, but can't see anything past that. Anyone have an idea what it might be?

Don't know the brand, but it looks to pretty light duty. If so, I think it's priced too high. And I wouldn't cut it before trying it. Depending on use, 7' might be fine.

I'd bend that up in a New York second.

This one needs some paint, but is much more stout....if it has a good cutting edge, you'd be set. They'd probably take $350, and you could check on the rake in the background as well.

I bought one that looks pretty much identical for $150 locally. It works okay, but nothing special....and it's only 6', so I'm planning to get a 7-8' EA XTreme Ver 3 soon.

How'd you find that. I'm searching Craigslist every day :D

I'll be contacting them. Wonder if that Landscape Rake is for sale too

Just play around with the search terms....back blade, scrape blade, tractor blade, etc. You can also search by entire state using third-party websites like: Search Craigslist by state and More.

If it helps any, I ran a 6' blade, and 6' rake like the ones in the CL ad I linked with my 8N, which had an 800lb 3pt limit, and it was fine. My new EA Xtreme 8' blade only weighs 800lbs, and it's a beast in comparison, so that blade would be much lighter. I was mostly moving snow with the 8N, but it also moved dirt fine.

Nice find. A bargain.

Yeah....couldn't really go wrong with that one. I bought the 5' cutter next to it for $350 as well. It had blue under the yellow, so I think it was a King Kutter. Not a bad haul for $500!

Re: Found these used rakes/blades on Craigslist - whacha think?

I found these last night thanks the Gittyup's suggestion.

So this is where I'm at. I only need to maintain a small section of road/parking lot/driveway (red area) That's my house and lot. Up until December, I did it with a 4' tow behind York Rake on a garden tractor.
I might be able to pick up some work 1-2 times a year maintaining the yellow section and if I'm lucky, I might get the blue section to
Each color is owned by different people and right now, neither of them maintain the road. Last year the blue section hired a landscaper to fix potholes at a cost of $2,000
That consisted of filling them in with gravel and some grading with a bulldozer...it didn't work naturally.
While this would only be "side work" for me. I would not mind picking up a little money to play on my tractor, but I understand that my tractor is a "little small" for this, but I know it can be done as long as I don't rush it.

Once in a while, I'll need to repair my lawn from vehicle traffic putting in boats and taking them out, but the tractor is used mostly to mow the lawn and dethatch as well as haul weeds we rake out of the lake.

I've got a Kioti CS2410
24 hp, Class 1 3PH, 48" wide, 1485 lbs w/turf tires.

Found these
60" Woods LRC60 w/casters (really a Woods this time, not like the Woods that was a King Kutter before :/)
Asking $500

60" Woods LB3 Scraper Blade
Asking $300

60" Sundown Box Scraper
$650

So what do you Pros think of the equipment above?
Am I better off with a Box Scraper over a Scraper/Rear Blade? Which one has more uses? I'll be doing a bit of lawn repair this Spring leveling out topsoil and regrading the driveway to get rid of some low spots.
