The closest dealer is Deere, I like the comfort, 0% is an big thing but right now others are ofering it.
80%of the use will be mowing grass I like the autoconnect idea less trouble going to the remaining 20%of the work.
Hope i am making a good choise entend to keep it a long time.

I looked VERY hard at them....the seat is second to none.

But in the end Kubota gave me a better deal.

I bought an x mark at mi local kubota dealer the price was ok but parts where very expensive beleve it or not $32.00 one can of touch up paint oil filters belts
crasy prices .
Mi local J D dealer on the other hand is mainly an AG. dealer so parts and service are more afordable.
The price on the 1025r is more hope to save on the long run.

I have that tractor. The auto-connect deck was very important to me as I age, the arthritis gets worse, and the kids are around less to help. Many would advise test driving as many types/brands as you can before deciding. Make sure you buy a big enough tractor for what you want to use it for.

I mow 80% of the time also, app. 2 acres w/60" MMM deck. It is just the right size. I see you are in ON. You can get a 47" or 54" 2 stage front mount snowblower too. Or a blade, if you have narrow areas to clear.

For a long term investement you want to be sure you are happy with what arrives on the delivery truck!

Good luck.

Will end up geting a blower too.
Big diference from buyng a car, with the tractor there is so many implements and we need lots of them.

I have the 1026r with the 60" auto connect deck and wouldn't be without it. I found that if I try to attach the deck on the concrete driveway the deck slides away from the tractor. So now I always attach and detach on the gravel approach to my shed. But as the videos show, it is about 45 seconds to attach and about 30 seconds to detach.

There is a down side to the auto connect feature however. If you are switching to a front mounted attachment like a snow blower or broom, you have to removed the auto connect attaching hardware. Its not overly time consuming but you pretty much have to lie on the floor/ground to remove the pins and pto shaft. With a friend on each side it removes fairly quickly. But by yourself if can be more of a challenge. If you are making the switch once in the fall over to the blower and once in the spring back to mower, probably not a big deterrent. But if you have a front mounted broom that you would like to use several times during the mowing season then one might want to reconsider the auto connect option.

But as I get older lying on my side with the mower wheels digging into my ribs trying to attach the mower pto shaft to the tractor, I find the auto connect feature one I would never give up.

Nah - when you buy a car off the lot, you have already decided which options to get that are already installed. Buying a tractor is more like ordering a car from the factory - you decide which options you want & order. Be sure to do that because like buying a car, the additional loan payment for 'options' (attachments) is far smaller than buying them later. I wish I had done that with the snowblower! (+$3500)

Hello, neighbor -

I was futzing around with this last fall and found that detaching the entire left side mower deck lift arm as an assembly makes the job easier. Then you don't have to detach all the piece parts. You just loosen the the right side lift arm nut (to the PTO carrier assembly) and the whole thing slides right out from the RH life arm. Easy! :dance1:

Sorry, I didn't think to take pictures. I won't take the blower off for a couple weeks, but then the sweeper goes on for a week. So I won't have pics until then. Unless you'd like to see what the removed assembly looks like.
