3-Point Hitch L-series Jerky 3PH - Jeff's homebrew repair.

I take it that there are no B's that are large enough? How about a GL? If not the only option left would be to cancel the deal.

If it were me, I wouldn't even consider keeping the 3200 if the hitch was jerky. As I have stated before, the only fix I know of is to stay away from the standard Kubotas and buy a Grand, or change brands.

Does your dealer sell anything else?

Bill

He is going to run smack into the wall of the Grand L's are so much more money. The B 3350 is close, just a bit lighter, but the 3pt is quarter inching, NO position control.

When I found myself in a similar position, I ended up going to a L3240GST that had been on the lot for a year. I did need to fork over an additional $1800.

Still waiting to hear from the dealer. He's checking what he can substitute for me. I'll check out the B3350, but if it's lighter I don't want it. What's quarter inching. no position control? How much more will the grand L be at a good price from him?

How does the L3240GST compare to the L3200?

If he could find a 3240 or 3540 left over (unlikely now) that would be a great deal.

A much more refined machine. Will have a smooth hitch, and many more features like telescoping lower links and stabilizers. You have to decide if the GST is the transmission for you. It is a very refined and deluxe hydraulically controlled standard transmission.

The L3240 will also weigh quite a bit more than the L3200

You can compare costs on the build it yourself site.
In my case the L3240GST was on the lot. Had it been a gear transmission instead of a glide shift the cost difference would have been more like $800.
A L3240 is a lot more tractor than a L3200. The frame size is close to, or the same as a L4400. It's a nice tractor.

I found mine a little underpowered, but I'm located at 3000ft. You loose more HP than you think at that elevation.
