I also found it interesting that there wasn't a single Korean company on the list.

Korean people, and companies tend to not divulge a lot of information. Most likely none of them bothered to respond to the questionnaire.
I have Korean born friends, and have learned a fair amount about the history of Korea, as well as Japan and China. Many of the cultural claims made by those countries as being their customs actually came from Korea, taken during occupations. For some reason though, Korea as a country does not seem to want to try to set the record straight. They allow Japan and China to continue to lie about where the traditions came from.

I doubt it is the JD crowd being snotty about the JD company being on the list. It appears to be the non JD crowd howling over it. Its like saying something good about Honda and all the Harley Davidson folks have a come apart. Don't like a company or its product, don't buy it. No need to hassle the folks that do appreciate the company and its products.
