How much you pay for yours and you should know the TBN rule. Pics or it didn't happen

As for why Cabela's has partnered with Tong Yang Moolsan, it is because as almost everyone who knows the product would agree, it is a very well made tractor. Also, the Tong Yang employees are really terrific people to work with.
Possibly also because, besides the few tractors that TYM manufacturers for Mahindra, TYM doesn't have a sales outlet or contracts with anyone else here in the States. LS and Daedong probably already have their fill of contract builds over here ... that probably left TYM or Kukje to choose from.

Though, I wouldn't be surprised if TYM started the conversation with Cabella's, as a way to boost their fledgling sales numbers.

Just a supposition, I don't know any of that to be true

"So.... it is anti American for a large sporting enterprise to get into tractors, to see if the fit is there, but it is ok for a little guy to sell them out of his garage?"

I didn't say that Cabela's shouldn't try to market them or anything else that they sell. Go right ahead. I hope to warrant those who may be considering them just because Cabela's has put their name on them now and especially if they have added cost when compared with the competition. The small tractor market is littered with the remains of so many who have come and gone....Zetor, Zebra, Belarus, Long Agri, Montana, etc. Sure, they were "committed" and "in it for the long haul" and on and on. Dealers and Reps and District Manager assured us so. Things start to go pear shaped and "poof" gone. I've seen this movie before and it often ends the same way. I hate to see people spend a wad on something when in a few years a serious case of amnesia could develop at the local Cabela's.

I suspect similar. They were probably available and maybe so at a reduced rate compared with some others.

5. Cabela's has done several things to enhance the Tong Yang tractor, including the installation of steel shields mounted in the undercarriage to protect the fuel tank, filters, hoses and other exposed areas of the tractor. Cabela's is known for understanding how their customers use their products, and they believe that taking these extra steps to protect an investment is the right thing to do.

They sure didn't put a shield where it's really needed:

I think there has been a prevailing view on this thread that the Cabela's brand tractors and the Cabela's by Woods implements are more expensive than comparable equipment of other brands. I think that perception comes from seeing list prices, but we all know that the only way to know the actual selling price is to sit down and get a quote, just as it is with any tractor deal. Cabela's is projecting value in its name, and believes that just making up a new brand for tractors would not project anything other than a lack of confidence in the product. Surely anyone would agree that there are brands of compact tractors that command a higher price based upon the color of paint, even though when one compares spec for spec, and understands that the industrial base of compacts is and has always been Asia...Japan, Korea, India, there is no meaningful justification, other than the brand equity and the customer's confidence in the dealer having their back. Again, putting the Cabela's name on the tractors was not done to get a higher price, it was done to signal that we will stand behind the product. As for why Cabela's has partnered with Tong Yang Moolsan, it is because as almost everyone who knows the product would agree, it is a very well made tractor. I realize that there is a list price and a selling price for everything. The list prices on the Cabelas tractors are so high that they are going to scare of potential customers. $22,899 for a 35hp tractor without a loader is high.Cabela's Wildlife & Land Management ROPS LM35H Hydrostatic Tractor : Cabela's I believe that tractor is a TYM T353H. Here is one with a Loader. http://www.tractorhouse.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=8286789 It looks like to me that Cables is going to have to take 30% off to be priced with other manufacturers. It has been my experience that dealers will not do much off on implements especially something small.

I looked at the TYM website for the first time. Mitsubishi and Perkins/Cat diesels used, not inhouse designs rather
internationally recognized and distributed engines. I have a Mitsu engine in my Case IH and it runs flawlessly.
So I think that counts for something, the engines are not proprietary.
So then it's really how the rest of the tractor performs. And at what cost.
And for me, whether the dealership is convenient for me to trailer the tractor in, or them come get it if need be. I don't do all my service work; I like the dealer to do a few things once a year; another set of eyes.

Of course now I wonder, is this a rebranded Mitsu made in a Korean factory that is rebranded again? Or did they just buy the engine?

and 30% is usually the whole pie...which typically gets split in half on a hard deal.
This is all speculation and conjecture until final prices are compared. But fun to do...

LS builds (or did for Tier 3) Mitsubishi licensed engines which also ran flawlessly. I don't know that I've seen a single problem problem reported here on this forum, in any of the LS built machines (including LS, NH, Case, etc), with their engines. I'm not really sure what problems you have with that. If the engine is built to license specs, it's possible that another Mitsubishi engine, that's branded as a Mitsubishi engine, could have been built by a company like LS, and not even actually made in a specific Mitsubishi factory.
