They are going to have to start offering a week long class on how to use all of the features in these new tractors.

Draft control...what is that? A cup holder for your beer? Yeah, the Yanmar has one of those. I'm not sure why Yanmar missed that one, but admittedly it wasn't a feature I was familiar with or looking for when I was tractor shopping.

I'm not sure I'd like the auto-pto-shut-off cycling on and off at full PTO speed for brush cutting. I imagine you'd break a shear pin, or if the swinging blades get stuck together and send the rotational forces off balance that would make for an unpleasant experience. I always thought the correct operation of the PTO was to power down your engine RPMs before turning it off and on, that's also what I've read in the brush cutter and tiller manuals anyway.

Re: Yanamar LX4900 HST --- Bought it1

Finally pulled the trigger. Thanks all for the help.

Yesterday I put down my deposit on a new (2013) Yanmar LX4900HST TLB. Wont get it for three weeks or so (waiting for the snow to go and some additions to be made -- dual rear hydraulics and a line for a grapple bucket). So will probably spend a few days sorting out implements, but a grapple will be one of them! Really did appreciate the guidance in response to my questions and all i learned reading through other threads.

Congrats, nice setup. I would definitely have considered the Yanmar/CC when I was shopping IF they offered a factory cab option.

Mind telling us the price breakdown, for the tractor, plus the BH ?

Congratulations on your new machine, show us some pix when you get it, and some action pictures later on.

Will send pics as soon as I receive tractor. As to pricing, I was asked not to share (and I said I wouldn't). Maybe I shouldn't have said that but once I did I kind of keep my promises. But my sense from having looked at all I could find on the net, I think the tractor was at the lower end of what I have seen published or, on contact with sellers, offered by others for a like all cash deal for a 2013 yanmar. So I guess I did ok but then gave back anything I saved and more in dual rear remotes, front hydraulic adds wight three function remote. And then implements really racked it up. But at end of day, it wasn't price that tipped it. Kioti was actually a little better on price and a couple of features. Just after multiple quick rides, the Yanmar just felt better.

Next I need to think about a structure that isn't too expensive where I can keep all of this stuff.
