I have a Curtis Cab on my JD 4700-------cab is about 8 -- maybe 10 years old at the most -- several of the parts (door/window handles etc) are deteriorating and breaking -- just called Curtis and they tell me "tough luck!------no longer carry or handle the parts for your cab"------ that is really agrevating to say the least -- and they do not have any place to call to get these parts ------needless to say I am not a happy camper with that kind of customer service -------or lack there of.

I'm not sure what the handles for those look like but I am guessing they are similar to the ones that truck canopy places install. You might check those out. Sorry that those parts aren't in stock for you.

I can't imagine they are all that unique.

Search for truck body hardware. Most of that type of stuff is pretty basic and easy to match up.

The part that broke which started this is a cam lock type latch for the rear wing windows -- I have never seen anthing similar -- the latch is bolted directly to the glass and thence to the frame of the cab and cams over when the window is closed.
The whole thing that wads up my undies is that they simply are not carry replacement parts for the products they sell -- that is simply beyond my comprehension -- parts break -- due to age and wear -- mine has not even remotely been abused and then it breaks --- also for what it is worth the mounting gaskets between the cab frame and the body of the tractor are also showing their age -------
The more I look at this issue the madder I get ---
Spread the word -- "don't buy Curtis -------they do not back up their products"!!!!!

Can you post a picture of the cam lock?

That is pretty disturbing about not having parts.... Have you check at Deere themselves?

Seems very inconsiderate to leave a whole generation of cabs without means to repair them. Whoever made the original handles probably still have some, Curtis should be able to line you up with someone else in this case.

Post some pics of the parts you need. Someone might be able to identify a source for them.

Just had an adventure with Curtis Cab parts service. Not good. The Door latch broke for the second time on a two year old cab ( I did repair it the first time myself). Its stamped with a part number 1002 R. Parts service said they needed a part number and wanted to know, which side it was for (1002 R) I told her "R" I assumed stood for "right"(conversely the one marked "L" is on the left side). She told me I would have to go directly to a dealer. They have an online parts breakdown that you cannot access. The latches on the window keep loosening up. The wiper switch gave out at 1-1/2 years. The roof leaked. I recommend stay away from Curtis. DSC01391.JPG.

Sounds similar to what is on my Kubota cabs for the rear side windows. Some cars used something similar on rear outswing windows (I think I had a Ford Pinto that had that type of latch, but I am sure others did too). Kubota parts aren't cheap, but you might find something at an auto salvage yard.

The part you are looking for is P/N 9DL01B. <--- This is the part number for the left hand door latch, which is actually marked with an R. The part number for the right hand door which is stamped with an L is P/N 9DL01A. These two door latches are actually installed upside down. Thus the R part on the left door and the L part on the right door.
For the outside door handle it's P/N 9DL01C.
Hopes this helps you.

I know this is an old post but mine was installed on my SC2400 in 2009 and is completely rotted out. Same response from Curtis as well. I bought some aluminum sheet and re-skinned my doors after sandblasting everything. What I found in dis-assembly was bare metal against bare metal and once the rusts starts there is now way to prevent it.
