My grandfather always told us strawberries taste better if you put manure on them.
Was that out in the field or just before serving?
there is a hydroponic strawberry business around here, they have a variety
that grows all summer. 2 years ago we picked berries in early October!
they were fair, not like the big juicy ones we pick in June, but better than
nothing!
how many pots would it take for a family to get enough berries to be able
to make a few batches of freezer jam?
oh and eat them fresh, the best way.!

MossRoad--wife cut them up and put sugar on top and she is making an angel food cake right now. Slice of that cake with strawberries on top is probably the best and highest use of big box berries.
