Anyone ever had their ROPS top part cut down?

JD is plain nuts. Why did they design a foldable ROPS that is too tall to fit underneath normal garage doors?

For this reason, I've kept mine folded. It's above my head even folded, but I keep bumping my head on it when working back there. So, I'm thinking about taking the top part off and getting it cut down (only about 2" needed to be removed) and, or course, put back together minus the cut-outs.

Anyone done this?

I did mine a few years back.
Never had to look back when driving in the shed anymore !
I took away the folding "hinge" , and weld it back together.

I don't think anyone is arguing. If I appear to be, I apologize. Tomorrow, you will do half a dozen things that if they don't work out correctly, will put you at risk of being sued, and of losing a lot of money, in the litigious society that you live in.

Is it a keg?

Yeah, Danny found it buried in a small creek near our farm. Modified it to hold a high pressure pump with fill bung, vents, in/out bungs and uses it for fuel.

The rops is made to stop it from rolling completely over, not designed to go upside down, therefore the higher rops on smaller machines.
