Nice job!

How long did it take you? Just curious.

Do you detail cars often?

The local Ford dealer detailed a friend of mine's Escape and said they'd never do it again. She has 3 Collies, so you can imagine what the inside looked like.

Your detail job looks great, Roger, but, IMO, it was worth way more than $125. - especially with all that dog hair.

Thanks.

Thanks, it took around 8 hours. I detail occasionally. I don't want to do it to often, one every month or 2 would not be bad.

Thanks, this guy has 3 German Shepherds. I used to do a Kia van for a guy. He had a Chihuahua or so kind of little dog. I guess the hair was perfect for the carpet in that van. They stuck to each other like velcro.

I ended up charging him $135 for the job which was still cheap. I have to meet the competitions price though. There is a a big car wash/ detail place here. They will do a express interior/ exterior detail for $70. I think it is pretty much slop over everything though. I look at a detailing forum once in a while. Some of those guys are getting $40 a hour. I think I netted about $15 a hour.

Never paid a dime for detailing. Car wash OK when I'm feeling lazy. Anything beyond that, cleaned it myself. This includes Corvette, Camaro, F350, F150, El Camino, my wife's Subaru, you name it.

I was going through some pictures and found these and thought I would share them in this thread.

Here is a Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland that I did a while back.

Before

Silver and gray are great colors for hiding dirt and scratches.

After

Silver and Gray are a hard colors to get a lot of shine out of. On the Paint I just washed, clayed, and applied a sealant with a D/A. I also did the interior but I didn't take any pictures.

Here is my F-150. I don't have any before shots. This one took over 15 hours. I did way more than what I did to the Jeep or the Explorer I posted pictures of.

Cool pic of reflection of clouds in the hood.

Interior

I have a Corvette coming in Monday.
