The weather was extremely bad last night. Couldn't even tell there was a garden because of so much water, looked at the potato row and the little sprouts are still there! So that's good. But THANK GOD I didn't plant last Friday after dark like I wanted to when I got in from work.

Most of the water is gone but I'm still gonna have to re-till and row it all up again.

I can't eat tomatoes except every now and then on a BLT. I may be alergic to them or something, not sure. The acid leaves blisters in the roof of my mouth!

Try some yellow tomatoes. Less acid. But if you do locate them a far piece from the red ones. They tend to crossbreed and yellow seems to be dominant.

I honestly don't care enough about tomatoes to even plant them. But I love ketchup!

Enjoying your photos.
Heard about your weather in the national news. I am glad to see that all in all it looks like you made out ok considering. Hope you didn't get any more water last night. We used to risk early planting but not any more. Seems like up here if the early stuff makes it then it grows so slowly we don't gain anything compared with the stuff planted later.
We got our first 50* day yesterday but have a way to go. This is my wife yesterday morning standing on her gralic patch which is already up at this time some years.

Some of your rain made it here yesterday, and still some through today. Glad I haven't turned the garden over just yet. Hope to set my little 4 flat greenhouse up this weekend to get some 'maters, peppers & such going.

I like the pic. Wish we could get pictures of us in snow down here!
I'm not sure when I'll get to plant now because my tractor is down. Hopefully I can get it going before the garden dries. Having cooling system issues. Race against time now.

Just about all the potato sprouts have come up and they survived the weather!

Glad your potato sprouts are still showing and ready to go. April showers bring May "good looking potato vines".....or something like that.

Lol I sure hope you're right bud!

I really didn't wanna tell my age because people tend to look down on you and/or try to make you mad here on TBN but I'll post it anyway. At least this has been my experience anyway. (But have since learned you can block users in your home settings).

I'm 29 years old. This ain't but the second time I grew potatoes. Grew my 1st crop 3 years ago I think when it was. I was well pleased with the yield! That's why I decided to plant them again.

Last 2 years I couldn't get in the swampy garden in February. So I took a chance this year in mid to late march when it dried up. And its looking like that chance worked in my favor so far.

PLUS the seed potatoes I planted were not far from being rotten. I literally got the last pick at the hardware store.

I have learned for next year that I'll HAVE TO buy the seed potatoes early (early to mid February) in order to get the better seeds to plant in March.

If I get another good yield this year, I won't second guess planting in March again.

Got some new corn seeds today that I ordered in the mail! Never tried them before. They're a new variety of sweet corn called "Serendipity TripleSweet".
I haven't ate any of this variety either, but I heard it's supposed to be the best. We'll see.

Said it's supposed to be better than G-90. When it comes to sweet corn, I personally didn't think G-90 could be beat! With this said, I have Very High expectations of the TripleSweet. Sure hope the yield is as good.
