+1 what Eddie said. It surprises me that those that say they are on the "tolerant" side, end up being the most vicious.
Interesting observation.

I'd have to agree with him 100%.Interesting observation.
I am generally on the total opposite side of most issues with you, but you are right on with this post. As much as I disagree with you, I still feel it's important to read what you have to say.I read the "worst of the worst" had been removed ... but then I noticed many of them posting in this thread. Too bad.As for the political discussion and the accusations of racism and other nonsense - those charges generally require some pretty sensitive and tortured processing by the accuser. I have no problem if TBN deletes the political threads - but - I find it somewhat silly. I would imagine most participants on TBN are adults, so limiting speech to protect those with a chip on their shoulder is like putting everyone back in grade school. Solution - remove the word "Friendly" and let it run. There is nothing more disingenuous than expecting issues of faith and politics, life changing, world changing, revolution causing, to be "Friendly." I accept those of polar opposite ideology to my own will insult me in order to protect their territory ... So what? They should appreciate my right to respond in kind. Big deal. Block the ones you don't want to read and just move on. America is in a crisis and, regardless of the words used, it needs to be discussed. Limiting speech will only push people to other levels of expression at some point.
Nuts!
TBN has no responsibility to provide a forum to support discussions of anything other than tractor and use related topics. It does that exceptionally well and there is no reason, other than generosity, to allow any form of extraneous discourse. The FP discussion has been a privilege which some few have used without reasonable restraint and decorum. I've heard that actions have consequences....I see no reason for people who fail to follow the posting rules to be allowed to continue to post.

For a limited time only, we will be offering "I was not friendly" user titles for those members of "the club" who are interested. :drink:
