I'd say all but the last 2 in that list fit.
Of course ... as would a number of others ...

Coming out on the short end of arguments - particularly political ones - has a way of creating enmity that some folks are unwilling to ever let go of ... especially when one has had errors in logic or flaws in their thought process pointed out in a rather blunt manner ...

It's essentially an unforgivable sin for some.

I find it funny that the number 1 person ignored in FP (not Kyle) is lecturing the rest of us on how to behave.

What a joke.
I'm not "lecturing" anyone ... nor am I suggesting anything that I'm unwilling to apply to my own conduct ...

I've publicly acknowledged my own culpability in contributing to the deterioration of the FP environment and I'm taking responsibility for it.

The question is, is whether some will be able to let it go ... or whether they're gonna wanna ride it like a hobbyhorse into their graves ...

That's a question each individual has to answer for themselves ...

What I find funny, is you guys actually believe you put him on ignore because of behavior. That's what's funny!

You have sharp eyes Kemo ...

Funny how they aren't all enraged and offended about the (similar) conduct of some of those who they (think they) share political convictions and a similar worldview with ...

Odd that ...

No, I think it's probably more likely a case of all those many, many responses and refutations that some somehow apparently failed to send my way ... all while the cats apparently had their tongues (or fingers as the case may be) ... ;)

Agreed, but creating, laughing about, and actually enjoying that enmity has created a fault line that may not be healed.

Time will tell if you'll (and the rest of us) will stick to your/our good manners.

Recklessly winning arguments regardless of the enmity is a good reason for some couch time.

Kyle,

I certainly hope that's not the case ... but only because I think it would be unfortunate for the community as a whole.

You've been here long enough - longer than I - that you remember what TBN was like back long ago ... very different place than it is today. I don't consider that the politics forum has been a net plus for the site ... I was against it for the git-go and said as much - both publicly and privately.

What I'm really curious about is, who are the members that lobbied so hard for a reversal of the decision to not have a political forum. You know: he guys that just really, really just had to have it.

I have my own hunches ... but I know one thing for sure: It sure wasn't me ...

Time will tell if you'll (and the rest of us) will stick to your/our good manners.
That's certainly a fair point and quite true ... be interesting to see how that actually shakes out.

Yup - the couch is usually where I do it from.

Unless I'm out on the road of course ... then it's from the sleeper bunk.
