Oh, and by the way, that dealership you went to is NOTORIOUS for being snobbish. It's one of the reasons I've purchased two Masseys instead of John Deeres. Of course, their ridiculous pricing has a lot to do with it, too.

BTW, I live in Putnam.
I actually went to big boys first when I bought my 3320. I was underwhelmed with the massey loaders. Otherwise they were pretty nice.
It's too bad the dealer in question is so out of touch, they'd certainly move more units if they weren't. The yellow deere dealer has even commented to me similar thoughts as I'll sometimes avoid going green since the yellow dealers can order you the same parts.

to me up to 30-50 hrs is demo , above that to 500 is slightly used and should be 25-30% off MSRP. but 4520-4720 are coveted , especially non tier4 so I dunno maybe hes not that far off the mark?

While I agree the 4000 Twenty series John Deeres are really nice machines (I almost bought the tractor in question), if they are SO coveted...why has this particular one been on the lot for a year or more?

My thought is the dealer isn't that eager to sell it. They don't generally have many units in stock. Usually one of each cut series, their implement prices are also above list. I'm focusing in on the 110 tlb at this point, it's a lot more tractor for the money and I've wanted one for years. I'm going to go with the 4000 series if I can't find a 110 instead. Additionally I'm looking at the Kubota M59 and L45 though going from green to orange may not be something I can handle.

It has been a while but I seem to remember you were interested in a 110 before you bought the 3320. I am still pleased with mine after nine years but would also recommend the L45 and M59 too, a good deal on any of these would be great. I think all of these would be better than adding a hoe to a 4520, while my 4520 is great for the 3ph work a hoe on it not optimum imo.

You are correct, I've wanted a 110 for quite a while. I was really disappointed when Deere discontinued it. With my future needs loader capacity is the most important feature. And as you alluded to, the 110 is a lot more hoe than the 485 or Woods unit.

I think the hoe on the 110 is even more capable than what goes on a 5000 series tractor. hydraulic flow is much better than the 4000 series too. The 110 would be a little short on HP compared to a 4520.

An M59 has the power of a 4520 with a better hoe and higher capacity fel too. I like having both the 110 and 4520 and in my present work switch between the two doing the field and pipeline work several times a day. No need to reconfigure the machines this way. But if I could only have one machine the M59 would be the better choice.

As an update, I ended up going with a 110 TLB. Since I was really after max lift cap it was the best choice. I'm going to have to add a custom scv options since this unit didn't have it. I can't wait to start playing with it.
