I made this multi hitch for my lo-boy. Can be used as a trailer mover, fork lift, log dragging frame and even a boom pole mount.

If you couldn't tell from the multi-hitch design I like attachments that have more then one purpose. My next project is the plow/bucket. Bolt the bucket section to the backing plate and it'll lift 350 lbs of whatever you can throw in it. Replace the bucket with a cutting edge and it'll be ready to do battle the worst New England winters.

It was assembled and put to work last week to help my father-in-law fill in an old pool foundation. I plan on cleaning the edges and painting it when it gets back to the shop.

The original design called for 1/4" plate, but my supplier said he's sell me a 5' x 8' piece of 5/16" for the price of 4' x 8' 1/4" if I'd take it with a little rust... So I did.;) Only downfall is she's a little bit heavier then expected. Tipping the scales at 300 lbs empty I had to do everything I could to cut weight, which is why I CNC plasma cut the chain holes, hand openings and IH logo into the bucket.

Love that rear bucket and the multi-hitch! Great stuff.

Would I be right to guess that your hyd top link will extend far enough to dump the bucket?

I don't have a pix but will describe as best as I can.

I made a big 'tooth', very much like clamp on forks. It is about 16" long.
I used an axle from a 3/4 ton pickup that I attach in the center of my FEL clamping it with a 5/8 threaded bolt that sports a T handle.
I point it downward and push it into the ground driving forward and simply curl the bucket and out pops imbedded rocks, roots and smaller stumps.
Now that snow is almost gone I should be able to find it and promise to post a pix.

CDN Farm Boy: Depending on material and pin setup the bucket dumps 75%. I would be nice to have full dump, but I'd loose most of the curl with the current cylinder. I've found a few nudges with a flat shovel help the remaining material out of the bucket.

I must be missing something! What keeps the plow attached to the bucket?
Or is it welded as one.
