oil pan drain bolt

One other thing, I don't know about the CK series but my DK pan is aluminum. .

I hope it has a shield over the oil pan from whatever could hit it from below. I have run over T posts that I did not know where there when clearing brush. Backing up, they tend to lodge under the tractor and bend into a U. I am not a a fan of anything aluminum under a tractor.

Nope, it is aluminum. but I don't see how a steel oil pan would stop a T post either unless it was really thick. If you are going to run over T post' you need to build some shields.

Well I haven't had any trouble yet, but if you got "jiggy" with the wrench, you sure could.

that hard drain plug will win against that soft pan every time.

Sometimes I see where a soft pan has a steel insert for the drain plug.

IMHO.. the best bet would be a soft plug and harder pan ( or insert ).

If they set it up correctly so that it clamps a good oring or washer.. should be fine i guess.

yep.. most steel pans are sheet metal and thin.. a heavy cast pan like a structural member under a ford N MIGHT do ok...

Actually the best I could tell it did lodge on the steel pan and resulted in a good scrape but no real damage. Had I known the T posts were in the brush I would not have backed up. But you don't know what you don't know.

Does anyone know the torque rating on the oil pan bolts for a 2008 CK35? Better yet is there a place to look at the shop manual in cyberspace?
