Shooting at crop duster

We have a guy who flies overhead in one of those parachutes with a motor on it, no idea what they are called. It is very annoying, he flies just over the tree tops and buzzes around looking at everything. I wonder what the law is regarding those things.

Interesting. We have the same sort of thing only the guy (or gal) does fly somewhat higher. I would never go up in that thing but he seems to be having a good time.

I think this was just an outburst caused by all the property rights attacks in the last few years, privacy rights and intrusion into our lives. The guy wasn't really shorting at a crop dusting aircraft as much as he was making a statement we have had enough. HS

I think you are right --- he didn't want to hit the plane but he was frustrated. Due to that one moment of loss of control, he now cannot have firearms for the rest of his life. Losing self-control rarely turns out well.

Wondering how you lose a constitutional right, what about first amendment rights can you lose those, can he be discriminated against now, what other protections could you lose? Looking in my pocket constitution where government has authority to strip you of 2nd amendment rights or any others. HS

I have to side with the shooter.
Insurance not withstanding, the nature of the vehicle makes apprehension of illegal operators nearly impossible.
Any aircraft low enough to hit with a shotgun is too low and violating your airspace.
Moreover, at that altitude, any spray is going to be concentrated enough to constitute an assault on the people under it.
If you shoot and hit a plane with a shotgun, that's self defense.
Christopher Vaughn Lewis didn't get a very good lawyer.

A good lawyer couldn't make legal sense of shooting at any airplane. A bad one would try.

Discriminated against? Felons relinquish their rights to arms because they have proven themselves to be too stupid for gun ownership. Blunt reply but the truth.
