Thanks for the info. I've always bought dogs from field trialers. Seems to me it was easier to get them to check in, if they ranged a bit too far, than it was to get them to go out and hunt, if they were shoe polishers. We've still got a few spots with huntable coveys of quail. Then there's always the preserve places for some fun.Jeff---She is from Grand Heritage Kennels outside of Gettysburg Pa., and is strictly a trial dog. Like you I've had setters for years (and pointers) and would be lost without them. The only birds we have left are a few grouse and the woodcock when they migrate through the area. Your setter pic caught my eye, very stylish dog.
