Kaspersky Anti Virus and Private Party Ads Forum

For several months now I have not been able to view the private party ads forum. Tech Support here says they have not received any reports of problems from other users. We went back and forth trying different things but never any luck until I turned off Kaspersky one night. Then it works fine. I'm not going to run without the Kaspersky protection but find it hard to believe it's blocking that forum only. I've added tractorbynet to the white list in Kaspersky also with no success.

Anyone else using Kaspersky having this problem? Anyone else having problems accessing or viewing the Private Party Ads Forum?

I have Kaspersky and i just was in the ads no problem has to be your settings.

Deerseeker,

I haven't changed any Kaspersky settings from the default when it was installed a few years ago and haven't changed any other things until just recently by modifying the white list. Do you use default settings or did you tweak them at all after installing? I've been using Kaspersky longer than being a member of tractorbynet and Private Party Ads Forum worked for me several months before there were any problems.

I have had Kaspersky for years never had a problem.I didn't like Kaspersky pure,I use internet security.

i run kaspersky AV on my netbook and just checked it.. no problems.

On the flip side.. I can view the forum on my winphone.. but not post..

I use Kaspersky on Vista and just checked the Private Party Ads forum. It works fine for me. I imagine you have already made sure you are not running some other security software (such as built-in Microsoft utilities) in addition to Kaspersky that could interfere.

If I am it's because they are there without my knowledge. What other blockers would I need to look for and why would it be viewable after I disable Kaspersky? Tech Support seemed to think it was because PRIVATE and/or ADS was in the address but I am sure this is not the only site I've been to that has used those words in some form or fashion. Besides, I made the tractorbynet address ALLOWED by adding it to a Whitelist in Kaspersky.
