Yea, a couple of years ago I bought a Dong Feng 254. The dealers cannot bring in any more due to EPA.
I do not see any obvious problems, no smoke or foul smells so Dong Feng just simply does not want to conform to current EPA regulations.
I guess Jinma is in the same boat.

It's the Chinese engine manufacturers, not the tractor manufacturers. I believe Jinma uses different engines in different tractor models. To my knowledge Jinma does not manufacture engines.

The EPA has pretty much ended the crate tractor business and much of the China tractors can no longer come in to USA. I joint ventured a 40' container full of them in 2001/2002, I had 3/4 of my half sold prior to them arriving stateside. One of the guys shared expenses and drove up from Texas to here for his Jinma was great joy if not a LOT of fear involved. For me it worked out great and the guys I sold them too all were happy too.
The big issues were the EPA requires tracking after the sale of them & warranty of all emissions equipment. Then the emissions testing cost a LOT on top of testing the units for longevity etc it basically makes low cost manufacturing un able to compete now..

Why 35HP? I have a Jinma 254/284 and it does what you describe and a whole lot more quite easilly. I run a 5' brushhog behind it quite nicely. I have 7.5 acres, mostly hill, and mow a lot of brush and small trees with it, it mows grass uphill as fast as I care to go and generally has performed fantastic. It runs a 6" chipper and a 6' backhoe and I also groom a gravel driveway...

No they won't. They went belly up. I'll speculate from false and deceptive advertising. They claimed the tractors were built in the USA.

Interesting.......I stopped at their shop several years ago......they clearly told me they were selling Chinese tractors but they were like a new car lot.....too high pressure for me. At the time....they had quite an inventory and would sell crate tractors. I guess my instincts were correct if they are now out of business. Hope people who bought from them can get parts????
