So do dealers now have to pull only from their 'assigned' regional warehouse?
I just called several very large dealerships that have stores all over southern MI, and none of their stores had any of this particular lug bolt in stock any longer.
OK, saga lovers.......
Richard from Bro-Tek is back from vacation. He agrees the cone seat wheel lug nuts provided with the Deere 2305 spacer kit won't work with the Deere 1023/5/6 tractor ball seat wheels. So.........
He is looking at changing the studs & lug nuts in the kit to match Deere's 1023/5/6 tractor wheel ball seats. To get a ball seat lug nut, first you have to have a metric threaded stud, so he will need to change from the 2305's 7/16" dia. stud to M12. There are no ball seat lug nuts in english threads. He is working on this now.
Then I showed him where he can get the M12x1.25-29 cone seat bolts to attach the spacer to the tractor hub. I bought these separately online.
So we are getting close to finishing the 1023/5/6 kit conversion from the 2305.....:applause:
Any update?
After installing the full complement of wheel weights (72 lb starter + 2 50lb wheel / 172 pounds per wheel) my tractor feels much more stable. I think a set of spacers would set it up just right.
I have a 1025R would 2" wheel spacer work on it or should I go to 1 3/4". I have a 60" mower deck.
Thank you. On the left side of the 60" mower deck is it the scalping wheel that hits or the bracket for the scalping wheel. I read some were that 1 3/4 spacer would work. I don't know,.
Lenny at Motor sports has been making wheel spacer for the 1025R and has all the hard wear in stock.
All I have to do is decide on the size.
p.s. - I am still waiting for Bro-Tek to come up with a correct attachment hardware package for the spacers.
Wish they'd hurry up....I am wanting spacers but don't want to spend $200 and have to buy hardware.
