Wearing a sleep apnea mask?

   / Wearing a sleep apnea mask? #31
How many people on CPAP or BiPAP notice fewer trips to bathroom thru the night ? I had a urologist explain the physiology to me but don't ask me to repeat it. I sleep better but my memory wasn't improved any...hhaha.

I haven't seen anyone else mention this, but yep, I'm one. I'd been getting up to go to the bathroom at least once and frequently twice EVERY night, and I still did go once a night the first few nights using the CPAP, but no more for quite awhile now.

Same for me. No more nightly trips. Also, my Acid Reflux is completely gone.

Bird, I will have to agree here. It seems if you wake up in the wee hours of the morning you have to go. Like you, I too don't go anymore before morning. When we get restful sleep it breaks that retched cycle.

I hadn't thought about that, but I've known, for 40 years, that I have a hiatal hernia and the combination of trapped gas and acid reflux would periodically cause me to wake up with chest pains. I could get up, drink just a little 7-Up or Sprite and burp and that would make the chest pains go away. And I've had none of that since I started using the CPAP.

Just came from changing my full face gel mask. Humidifier full of apple cider vinegar sitting in the sink, as I use well water sometimes and it all runs through limestone. Resmed stuff used to be made in the US, but the printing was very clear on the new mask China. I have had my current machine redone one time by the factory. Next year I plan on having the sleep study redone and see if anything new has come along. If you snore or think you might suffer from sleep apnea I would have It checked out-because you will feel alot better.

Someday we'll read about a hold up where the perp was wearing a sleep apnea mask as a disguise.

Do you have a humidifier with your machine? Mine came with the humidifier adjustment set to "3" and I had some dry mouth problems, so they said to turn it up to "5" and I did. With it turned up that high, all the water will be used up in 8 hours.

So far, at least, I've only used distilled water.
