A friend of mine has a Kubota M5100. Looking at the loader valve ports, there are different colored dots... orange dot, green dot, yellow dot. Each of the hydraulic hoses that connect to the loader valve also has colored tape that match up with the colored dots on the valve ports Can anyone tell me what the different colors mean ? Is orange high pressure, green return, yellow ??? Am I making any sense in what I'm asking ???

Any particular reason you are worried about it? Adding hydraulic plumbing? I dont think there is an industry standard coloring. Just match up colors. My l3200 has similar colors, but I didn't trust the colors for my upgrades, I used the letters/symbols on the valve ports & what not.

I have the same tractor. I believe the info is in the owners manual.

Just trying to figure out which 1 (color) to install a T on to get High pressure somewhere else

For open center hyd's such as the M5100 has one can not TEE into hyd system to attach another hyd function but must attach extra valves(components) in series. One needs to continue hyd pressure to add other components at the PBY port on loader valve. Colors of hoses/fittings are just for identification for connections very similar to traffic lights or electrical connections in wiring harness's/diagrams

Adding another circuit can be simple - but sometimes it's not. Generally the green one is the pby port on your loader valve - it's a high pressure supply that goes to the hydraulic block to power the 3p hitch arms. If you need another circuit, you can send it to the "in" port of another valve instead - and then run that valve's pby (power beyond) port to the block.

If all this makes sense then good. But if it is confusing then keep reading about power-beyond until a picture starts forming. The simple version is this - each hydraulic circuit needs to be independent - we don't want high load in one to influence the operation of another. Power beyond makes it possible to keep connected loads from interacting. If you just tee in another circuit you may get unintended response under load that could
