I am curious.....

Has Scoobydoo and Mack the Knife converted any of you?

Yes. I purchased an Everlast because of Scooby's opinions. I wonder how many other Everlast welders have been sold because of his hatred of Everlast.. Does that make him an Everlast shill? Kind of like Obama is the best gun salesman on the face of the earth.

of course, your inference is that Everlast applying counterfeit safety certifications is no big deal.
Not one bit to me. I could care less. But this is what I did for a living. You stand right under a concrete pile being driven in the ground for 8, 10, 12-hours a day, then tell me you would be afraid of a welding machine:laughing:. At one time I had the record for driving the longest concrete pile on the west coast. 190-feet long. Stand right next to that when it finds a soft spot and free falls 30 to 40 feet:eek:. Welding machines will be the least of your worries!;)

I do not own a Everlast product , own a Longevity 200S , a Lincoln 135Plus and a Import off brand 50 amp plasma . Would I buy a Everlast versus a " Name " Brand . Most Certainly if I was in the market for another welder or other . To many other's here have Everlast products , that are completely Happy with their choice , and some of those member's have far more knowledge and experience welding than I will ever have . :2cents:

From post #208

The source is a link, colored blue, in your quote of my post, directly above your comment. Google found it by searching for Everlast welder recall. Google's link took me to it. I had never read or joined the site. No secret. Available to the public.

Bruce

I apologize Bruce, I should have explicitly added a  . For a while the OP and scooby were incensed the material was not available to the public.

Yea I took it that way.

If you are afraid to get a shock from a welding machine you should stay the hail away from a stinger!
:D

Okay, so your position on safety standards is now clear.
Well I have two Everlast machines in the shop right now. Neither one of them scare me. Maybe the reason they don't scare me, is I know how to work them. Hey I got a good idea, why don't you fly into Seattle, I'll pick you up at Sea-Tac airport, and give you some welding lessons too!;)
