What is the best ? The 3-point quick hitch or the pat's easy change system ? Is there any advantages that one system has over the other ?

The amount of discussion on this topic here on TBN would take a month to read at 24/7. There are plenty of information and opinions.

Try the search function or the Pat's thread sticky at the top of this subforum.

Also, you can check the bottom of this thread page for "Similar Threads" that will list five recent posts about the subject.

Overall consensus is:

Pat's advantage: will work with most implements whether they are quick hitch compatible or not.

Pat's disadvantage: requires extra steps to connect the top link and possibly adjust the lift arm spacing.

Quick hitch advantage: easier to use if your implements are quick hitch compatible.

Quick hitch disadvantage: requires modification of the quick hitch, implement, or both if the implement is not quick hitch compatible.

THE PATS EASY CHANGE SYSTEM WILL WORK ON ALL YOU ATTACHMENTS OUT OF THE BOX. THE CAT 1 & CAT 2 ATTACHMENTS HAVE NO COMMON MEASUREMENTS. UNLIKE THE CAT 3 EQUIPMENT IS A STANDARD SIZE AND THE ONE PEICE QUICK HITCH WORKS WITH THE BIG STUFF, THE SMALL STUFF IS MADE BY SO MANY, WITH NO COMMON MEASUREMENT'S.
PAT'S WILL FIT THEM ALL. trickmytractor.com is a site selling them now.

Not to rekindle the debate, but neither will connect a PTO shaft for the user, tho' both will ease the hard part and that's to get you onto the lift arms without a helper and/or a 2 meter pry-bar. Top link ever need length adjustment when switching? Can't do it all from the seat.

btw: I paid easily twice as much for my PEC but since it fits all 6 vs just two of my attachments I'd gladly give a 'hook-up' deal to anyone who'll take the other one off my hands. Will deliver to buyer within reasonable distance and assist installation ... but you'd have to pay me first, and promise to keep it. :D

I like the PEC myself
seems like it works with all implements and you don't have anything in your way when you have to hook up the PTO
my :2cents:

I agree with this too.

I've owned both and IMHO the Quick Hitch wins hands down. Speed of hookup isn't even close. Other than raising and lowering the handles of the QH, you never touch or have to adjust anything. Everything I own is QH compatible and in spite of KYGIRL's assertion, there are standards for CAT I & CAT II QH compatible attachments.

Might the standards be these? Although there is no top link height specked out that I see, must be a set dimension when listed as QH compatible? :confused3:

Specifications are a wonderful thing if the manufacturers actually follow them. I have five Cat1 attachments and the only one that meets the Cat1 specs is the one that I built myself.
