As long as the family is secure, the tactical advantage in any home invasion is to have the threat come to you.

Clearing a confined structure such as a home where the enemy may be armed is far from fun and can be VERY dangerous to everyone in the home.

My primary concearn is the safety of my family, crap can be replaced, people can not.

:thumbsup: I agree...if someone, God forbid , breaks into our home in the middle of the night...I am lying in wait for them ..they can do their deed but if they come to me, cross my path...that is when I will take action...I would not go out into my dark house looking for the intruder...they came in ready for combat...I was just asleep...big disadvantage...You are right...Stuff can be replaced...my goal is to protect my family at all costs...

I confess that I'm rather confused, please set me straight. The neighbor came over in the middle of the night intending no good... her chicken died in the crossfire. Because that's the only way that I can get from post #1 to post #168... and yes, I have been following this as it unfolds so have read every post.
