I'd also recommend the trout hatchery below Table Rock Dam. Might check and see if doing tours of the dam again, which was pretty interesting.

I just got back from the Ozarks today. Blanchard Springs Caverns is the best cave in America. Don't miss it. The recent rains made the Buffalo River great for canoeing and many places rent them. The best views are seen by canoe. The overlooks on Arkansas Hwy 7 south of Harrison are very interesting.

There are a couple of curves on Hwy 7 there south of Harrison where you can see your own tail-lights!:D

True that.

There are several caves in the Springfield / Branson area. They are really neat to see.

I'll second Blanchard Springs Caverns. In Branson find College of the Ozarks. They have a museum with an original Clampett's truck from Beverly Hillbillies.

My son will be attending college in Searcy, AR this fall, so will be down that way again in August. When I started this thread, I was in Searcy signing him up for classes. We ended up going south to West Monroe LA to see Duck Commander, then headed east to Vicksburg battlefield, up to Fort Payne AL to visit the Bama Boys, then to Ruby Falls in Chattanooga TN, then over to Cherokee and the Smoky Mountains and visited Clingmans Dome and Cades Cove before heading home.

We went to Branson last summer, so I was looking for things besides Branson, but I would like to go back there also. Would love to see the Clampetts car, even my kids love watching the Beverly Hillbillies. Last summer we saw "shepherd of the Hills" in Branson. That was really good. Looks like this year might be it's final run. We also rode the Branson Train last year. I do want to see Eureka Springs, will probably do that on one of my trips. With my son going to college there, I will probably have a few trips there. Some friends of ours just moved to Searcy, so he will have people there he knows, plus a couple of his friends go to school there.

Thanks for all the great suggestions.
