You would never guess that the weight of farm equipment would have to be explained to employees - but I guess it does. You would never expect that warning signs, in English, would have to be explained to employees. You would never guess that employees can not convert from pounds to tons and vice/versa.

In any case, thank God the tractor survived.

Owners of multi million dollar businesses with equipment valued in hundreds of thousands of dollars . They place the equipment in the care and control of employees that can't find a job paying above minimum wage.

And then, insist the government should force those owners, to pay them $15 per hour for their ineptitude. :confused2:

Ok, had to laugh, after reading the second article, the guy was a former county commissioner. This is the guy who was elected? LOL Perhaps that's why he's the former commissioner.

That's how he got out of paying for the repairs, as county commissioner he had the right connections to get responsibility pushed over onto state insurance (paid for by Colo citizens).

True, I guess it depends how far they want to ruffle feathers with the county & ex-commissioners etc. But its clearly the owners responsibility. The owners insurance should be paying for it, not the citizen's insurance.

The owner didn't do this, an employee of his did this. No excuse, he still should pay, but the former commissioner is not the culprit. In most places, liability falls to the owner and/or operator. Guess whose insurance pays for destroyed guardrails and utility poles when you crash and snap them? Yep, the offender.
