Just ordered rear remotes for my L5030 from kubota, so I have been reading some of the excellent writeups people have done regarding the install. I haven't received the parts yet, but from reading I have a couple questions.
1. The block in the kit, that gets attached under the seat, I assume is tapping the PB line returning from the loader valve, so it now feeds the P on the new rear valve, and then the PB from the new rear valve then returns back to the old PB location? The new valve has a 3rd T return that also fastens below this block?.
2. I have a factory installed BH that only has 2 lines. Is it the last item on the PB line, so that it only needs one return, and not a PB and T return?

Other than connecting and disconnecting hydraulic lines, I have never really paid much attention to how they run. I found a hydraulic diagram for the new valves, and I believe I understand how the valve feeds A and returns on B into T, or feeds B and returns on A into T. Since I have one rear remote on my L3940, it looks to be a simple job, once the seat is off.

The BH return line should go to a return line or directly to tank.

Thanks JJ, That was a curious question.
And my wife just found out how much I'm spending on these valves. Ouch....

Do you have a loader on the tractor?

There are several ways the BH can be connected.

Depends on whether you need the 3pt or not.

The factory kit is simple, I installed triple remotes. Hardest part for me was R&R the loaded tire.
You remove a block on the tractor and rubber plug for the return. The new kit bolts up with a return line plugs right in. New block goes on the other side of the valve stack.

Thanks. Looks like the kit makes it super easy except for getting it under everything. how easy is seat removal? The kit is in at messicks. They have a location near me. I called about picking it up and turns out the parts guy lives about 2 miles from me, so he will bring it to me.

I went back and reread my others posts and i wasnt too clear. Im assuming attaching where the cover is under the seat is like tapping the PB line ftom the FEL. my questions was more about the interworkings in the block under the seat.

There is fel on this tractor L5030. I also have L3940 with one remote, fel and bh so I Can see exactly where things go. im glad i dont have to tap at fel block like some do.

It's super easy. I don't know the PB schematics but assuming that's what's going on given the return line.

I didn't remove my seat but mine is a Cab model. I just had to remove the right rear tire and there was an access panel in the fender.

parts came today. Thanks to Messicks for the great customer service. Such a little box though for the cost. I hope to install without removing the tire. I'd rather remove the seat I think........

Well, I found the answer to my first question. I accidently found online the shop manual for the tractor in pdf format. It shows the hydraulic routing, which confirmed my suspicion. It also goes in great detail on the valves themselves and how the different positions route the fluid, very interesting. I didn't realize until seeing the diagram the hydraulic pump is a dual pump, feeds HST, transmision and steering from different ports out of the pump, than the port that feeds the fel/remotes/and 3ph.

I have the valves all bolted together, and hopefully will install later today ( 1am here, time for bed). only thing I wasn't sure about, they say to grease the o rings before installing between the valve ports, but they didn't supply grease or say what kind of grease. Since the valves were soaked in oil, I used it to lube the o rings.
