Box Blade? Opinions if ya got one thanks

Source of weight was specifications in owners manual, not actual verified weight. Should have been more clear.

I'm not picking or complaining, just repeating what you said the weight was since you owned one. I didn't have a source for the LS BB weight. The only actual BB weight I know in fact is what mine weighs on my scale. I think most of the others round off the weight for giving a shipping weight.

I've looked at the m TSC units and tney are very heavy and well built. When I get one, it will be the TSC brand.

I bought my box blade from EverythingAttachments.com a few years ago. The highest quality you will find on the market today. The value for the money can't be beat. It will last a lifetime and you won't have to worry about bending it ( like I did to my old King Kutter). I highly recommend you contact these people before you buy, even if you decide not to buy from them. You owe it to yourself. Every attachment I may need in the future will come from them.
They are also a sponsor here on TBN.

I wouldn't say they are the highest quality. They have some good stuff & some economy stuff (box blades or most other stuff they carry), generally they don't play in the serious industrial caliber (Gannon) though. But they are a sponsor, have a good reputation & make killer videos to educate the community on implements.

Although we do make one of, or probably the heaviest 3pt box blade on the planet with a shipping weight of almost 3,000 pounds!!

The most demand is for box blades like we currently offer, but we realize that there is a demand for the heavier, more expensive boxes like the Gannon, so we are going to produce them.
The latest box blade we are working on is modeled after an SR20 Woods/Gannon box blade and will feature a floating tailgate. A retractable shank model will follow.

I think that the percentage of TBNers looking for a $2,000-$3,000 box blade is much less than those looking for a $600-$1,500 box blade.

No offense taken, Fallon. I know what you're saying, although I wouldn't consider any of our box blades as "economy" if matched up properly. Hopefully this better explains things!

can't tell if the "cutting edge" is bolt on or welded on.
can't tell if cutting edge is straight or curved
can't tell if there is a rear cutting edge.
it has min supports between bar that holds the rippers and back rear, so adding a little extra weight if needed, will be extremely hard
the bar that holds the rippers. how hard is it to clean out the dust, mud, little rocks that may get jambed up underneath.

i like my shear bolts and/or auto trips, for what ever reason, for rippers, to allow them to spin back and out of the way. i guess reason is i tend to abuse equipment, dropping stuff down and going like mad, from snagging tree roots, to larger rocks in ground, to other. *thinking all along can my machine and attachment do this or that i will not know if i don't try* will the rippers bend, and break away, or will the bar that holds the rippers bend some? or will the 3pt hitch on rear of tractor take a beating?

EDIT: i guess the way rippers are now a days (googling and clicking over on images), everyone wants quick adjustment on the rippers. vs having to deal with another bolt or pin per ripper. *shrugs*
