Was Thinking of trading my L5030 HST For the MX 5200. THe Dealer has a MX 5100 with 22 hrs. Going Monday to Price the 5100 . The deal for the MX 5200 is $17500 Traded. Not sure what the differance is betten the 5100 to the 5200. I know the 5200 is the tyre 4. Any suggestions?

I'd jump on the 5100 if it was me.

Be there when the doors open on Monday and workout a deal to get the MX5100. :cool2:

Be sure to get those rear remotes in the deal. ;)

For 4K difference I would take a 5100 personally.

Are you saying they want your L5030 plus $17,500?

Unless your current tractor has seen better days, I'm not sure what would be gained by swapping your L5030 for either MX5100 or 5200. From a performance standpoint, they are close enough to your current setup it shouldn't make any great difference in the amount of work you would get done, and feature-wise, you've already got a pretty respectable setup. You can get a gear drive model with the MX, if that means anything for you, but you'd need to go to the M series utilities to get a significantly larger chassis, more hydraulics, etc.

I agree w/ grandad. I'm curious, does the MX have some features that your current machine doesn't have?

FWIW, that was my thinking as well. The MX5100 is a very nice tractor (seriously considered it a few months ago), but so is your L5030. Assume you know that the MX is usually described as a cross (X) model, with an L-series front end and an M-series rear end. This according to both dealers where I kicked the tires. Is there a particular reason you want to trade?

I would trade the 5030 to get rid of the HST, but not just to trade. The MX and your L are very close.

If I could get a MX5100 for $17500 I'd buy it right now!!!
