Drew, Google AdBlock. It's free. I haven't seen an advert on this site in months. There is a little stop sign in the upper right hand of the screen that tells you how many ads have been blocked. It's blocking 3 right now.

And we believe you. But with that many Asian women you would need lots of rice and lots of hoes. No need to worry about tractors.

gosh, maybe it was the wild rice mix I buy occasionally from Amazon.
I knew I should have ordered the plain white rice. Now they think I'm a "wild" kind of guy...:D

I finally sat down after 15 hours on the go, and finishing with my bedroom closet. 8 trillion hangers, all getting kept or recycled.
And the suits are lined up by color and the shirts by some order and it looks like what my realtor wants and not a piglet convention.
Ok, I've been busy...

Good Morning All.

More clouds and spotty showers today but upper 70s for highs week looks warm and humid with increased rain chances thru Thursday. Looks like another cold spell coming by end of the month at least by summer standards and similar to the last one. Texas to keep getting rain California not so much and they need it badly

Boy...really slept in today...must have been because I stayed up most the night watching a "Law and Order" marathon!

It's a mild 58 and quite overcast right now...high of 79 and partly cloudy all day.Pretty much a repeat of yesterday.

69 and cloudy/gloomy looking.
Got 2 coats of solid stain on the south walls of the house yesterday using my new Graco airless sprayer - used 4.5 gallons. I'm very pleased with its performance. Much better than my old Wagner. It was a good day for painting, cooler, mostly cloudy and autumn-like. Up and down the ladder dozens of times - my body is complaining today - glad it's a day of rest.

73*F with clouds. Some chance of showers today. Sharon has gone to the dogs (show) again this morning in Augusta.

I recently bought a few LED bulbs for the house. A few Phillips BR-30's for recessed cans and a few CREE bulbs for lamps. Figured it is time to try them out, see the various color spectra, etc. They are very impressive so far. I put one in each bathroom and one in a walk-in closet, areas where the slow power-up of the CFL's is mildly annoying. The daylight bulbs make a very clear, bright light. Comparing the real sunlight from the bathroom SolaTube and the LED daylight bulb, there is hardly any difference.

My take so far is much better lighting at lower power consumption. The CREE round bulbs have some sort of plastic-type covering on the bulb that is a bit delicate. I put one in a lamp that has the spring loops type of shade holder and the springs tore the covering slightly. I don't know if the covering is functional or just there to filter the light to the desired color. Pricey, but if they last as advertised that evens out.

dave1949--on those beetles, if you have a "hotspotter" type propane torch wand, light it and immediately hold over the top of the tree as best you can. The little buggers must be programmed to fly straight up and you can cook 1000 of them in millisecond. I discovered this by accident and it works like a charm.

Good Morning. 1005, sprinkles, 76F with 94% humidity. Forecast high of 83F with 80% chance of rain this afternoon, and a low of 73F tonight.

We have had a slower start to the rain today. Just a few sprinkles so far. But I do see heavier stuff on the radar. Today is a repeat of yesterday at work. A family reunion and a child's birthday party. Yesterday even with taking tiny portions, I managed to have 961 calories at lunch. So I have already put 513 calories in the bank. 218 with my 20 minutes on the Gazelle before breakfast, and 295 by walking 3 miles {42 minutes @ 4 1/2mph} after I got to work. I should get hazard pay for having to face a long buffet table of southern food two days in a row:D

Hope everyone has a good weekeknd. The Left Turn Boys have the week off, so all you hard core race fans can watch F1 or Indy Cars. They have already run the F1 German Grand Prix, but the Tour de France bumped it over to another channel, and my DVR isn't going to record it until it comes on NBCSportsChannel at 11:00. Most likely I will just watch it live. I also have about half of last night's Nationwide race to finish watching. But I'll hang with the Open Championship to see if the pressure gets to Rory, and he blows this big lead. His lead has already shrunk to 3 shots.

I hired a tree guy to take down some trees close to our house. Normally I would do it, but I am not going to climb up these trees. The trees are 70+ ft high. The job was scheduled for next weds, but the guy called this morning, asking if he could start today, due to a cancellation. I agreed, he showed up about 9 am. He and one helper got right to work, they really know what they are doing, and didn't really stop all day, worked right thru till 5 pm. I had agreed that I didn't want the trees chipped, just cut into firewood, and I would dispose of the branches. I am beat. I haven't worked so hard in years. I used my Kubota with a boom pole to drag the branches out in the back 40. I sat down, and almost fell asleep!! I think I will skip the gym tommorrow, I need to drag more stuff around. Had to refuel the bota, that went well.

Have a good one!!

Good evening all. morning started at 69F got to 86F, and sunny. SIL came over today so limited what we got done today. Got the honey suckle and poison ivy taken care of yesterday so just need to finish weed eating. Bike ride got cut short, broke a spoke and decided to limp home. Found two more broken spokes for a total of 3, no wonder the wheel wobbled :( .

51 right now and a high of 83 predicted. Looks like warmer temperatures for the next few days, then a bit of a cool down.

Mowed part of the lawn yesterday. The tractor got low on fuel so I stopped. I'll get fuel on the way home from work this afternoon.

Wifey is visiting her daughter in Washington State, so I'm babysitting Bella (our dog). It'll be early mornings for the next couple weeks and no more then 8 hour workdays.

60 degrees out on a lovely cool morning going up to low 80's.
Local moving company comes today to estimate. I think I'm going to have a cardiac event after they look at the house, the storage lockers and the equipment/tractor at the farm. Actually, they don't care, it's just another truck to haul.

Finished the last of the field mowing yesterday so the tractor needs a good bath now. Trying to get the logistics right so the Kubota with FEL is there sooner vs later to pick up and carry the implements away. Wait until these guys try to struggle with two Gravely wing mowers, whose revolving wheels almost always makes it go in some other direction than where you pushed/pulled it. "gosh it always just went straight for me", heh heh.

This morning I take my first look at the storage area above the garage, The last bastion of junkola. Christmas lights, boat fenders, old garden hose, four beautiful sleds, the latter of which none of my friends wanted so I'll take them to the Blind thrift store locally. I suppose I could put a flexie flyer on CL, but just don't have the time.
Any TBN's from the North who are passing by eastern PA, if you want some sleds free, well...

I gave the realtor two golf bags part full of clubs; my late wife was pretty good, I never played. There was Big Bertha and a Ping putter in there, so she was happy to take the bags, and I was happy to free up some basement space. Those clubs will be useless to her if they are the wrong length but she's a tall woman too so maybe she'll get lucky.

ok, headed for second cup of coffee and then to the basement. Trash day today and I know I can find a few more things to throw out.
