I miss talking to you guys daily, but my new job, while I enjoy it, uses a bunch of time. Another overcast mild day, I'll take all these July has to offer. Have a good life until I talk to you all again.

Well Randy, despite the fact that some of us bums don't have to work for a living anymore, usually much to our delight, we know that many of you do, and all we can hope, and I suspect, is that you are having a good time working where you are. And if they give you too much to do, push back, tell them you have other commitments.
Like your special TBN new car discount program. 200$ under the number they say is dealer cost, which everyone knows it isn't. Plus all rebates.
And since that still leaves several thou of profit to the dealer, Toppop, you surely must be getting a cut. Let's see, one thousand to outstanding employee Randy, and the rest to the dealership. It's a well thought out plan.

Drew, glad you are nearing the end of your house clearing. It is soooo easy to accumulate stuff over the years. There are things I have kept thinking they are worth something, then I find eBay is littered with them at $25 a pop--if you are lucky enough to find a buyer. :laughing:

30% chance or rain, hope it happens. If you take the number of times we've had 20% and 30% the last few days, and add them together we'd have at least 100% and it would be our turn for rain...I wish it worked like that.

Took my wife to our favorite Tex-Mex restaurant yesterday to reward us both for the work on the house we did last week. Still lots more to do so have to keep the spirits high.

Drew, your sleds got me thinking about all the times I went sledding with the kids down the hill behind out house. One time the snow had gotten an ice covering from a freezing rain and my oldest son, who was about 7 at the time, went so fast he sped by the usual stopping area and straight into the shallow creek where he broke through the ice and turned upside down. He still reminds me of it now and then, and thinks I caused it by pushing him too hard. I admit I laughed out loud before rescuing him.

Plus getting paid like I'm important for doing something I like is a bonus, more toys!With my mom living with us now I need time out. I love her but not 24/7!

Too much Mom 24/7, I can relate to that.

Good afternoon all. Missed this morning's temp should have been about 68F. high is current temp of 88F and sunny. Working on moving prep got rid of a freezer this morning, bike ride done, getting ready to go weedeat.

High of 81 today.

I cut up a bit of firewood this morning then I used the brush blade on the trimmer for several hours going around apple trees, along the driveway ditch, etc. Great tool but 80* is warm for me. I quit around 2pm.

Off to the VFD station for one of our regular work session evenings.

57*F, clear and calm. Mid-80's today & tomorrow. The forecast shaved off 4-5 degrees on today's and tomorrow's highs.

Taking the Ford in for an oil change this morning, filling the diesel jugs, and maybe get my ears lowered. The Husky saw I bought back in May has some sort of fuel leak and won't start, so that is going back to the shop where I bought it for fixing.

Our garden weeds have been very productive this summer too. The asparagus bed is the worst.
