B2710, front axle oil level is low, but no signs of leaks and I keep it inside so I'd see oil on floor. I probably added about a pint, maybe a quart of oil to top it up, not sure because I use a bulk loader. Where can the oil be going? I know it was full at the beginning of the season, which was last time I checked it.

They come low from the dealer. Should be checked after a few hours use and topped off.

Apparently this has been reported many times. It seems to take some time for all of the trapped air in the axle to work out, and when it does the level drops.

Keep in mind when you check the fluid level, the axle needs to be on a level surface

Having taken these front wheels apart, it's a bit difficult to imagine how air could be trapped for more than a few rotations of the wheel, especially with lower viscosity fluids like sudt. On the other hand, I can't think of a better explanation.

It's true, I drained and refilled mine, checked it a year later and it was at least a liter low.

After you top it off this time, you'll probably never need to add any for a long time.

Yeah, I changed mine about a year ago too. Weird

It is a conspiracy. Some one is going around and draining out a bit of fluid from everyone's front axle. It don't take long and he could get enough collected to make a living selling it. Well hey, it could work!:D
