well that isn't going to happen for a few. Took her out for a spin, life was good until the last leg, the the wobbles happened again, I will say though it seemed to transfer back to the steering wheel (I paid better attention this time). So I thought ok back to the barn in 2nd, then the darn thing up and quit, gas was flowing freely so I towed it home with the iseki, jumped it from my trolling motor battery, and the thing started, pretty much has to be the carb doesn't it. For something that "everything works just needs a new home" this thing is going to drive me nuts

I got one of those. Everything works. Soon as I get it home, it dies all the time. Hence the reason I'm working on the fuel system.

at moment of death.. check for spark.. if it has spark.. chek fuel.

as tot he wobble.

like i said. find out WHAT part(s) have play.. then repair!

Ok yes had fuel to the carb, If choked it would fire sputter for a couple and then die. Back to the right front wobble, how much play should be in the spindle if any. The front wheel bearing was to tight, the wheel wasn't turning freely (my fault just had to get a tad bit more) and I checked while I had her up on the blocks, there is some play (the only I can find) top to bottom in the spindle so I'm assuming there is play side to side also, not a lot maybe 1/8 of an inch

should really be no spindle play. but spindle play usually does not cause wobble.. it causes hard steering.

tie rod end play and steering gear backlash causes PLENTY of play. if you have a thrust clerance issue.. that usually leads to excess backlash play with sector gears to ballnut, even if the sector gears to themselves have no backlash play.

thus thrust bearing play, backlash play and tie rod end / draglink end play is going to be where to look for wobble if the hub is not loose. etc.

Ok on the drag links, should there be rotation on them, the left has maybe 30 degrees of rotation (maybe more) the right is right at 0 degrees (and it's the one I think that wobbles and only has about 1/32 clearance from the exhaust pipe). Now if I need to replace the drag link, (I'm going to try to get one off here shortly) are there bearings in there or do I need to replace the drag link ends,

well I pulled the hydro inspection plate, there is a bunch of splash from about even with the front of the inspection plate, and yes the oil is a tad cloudy.

i'm pretty sure when i say draglink and when you say draglink. we are not talking about the same thing! ;)

post a picture of what yuo are refering to so we can both be on the same page!

i'm beting you are talking about a sector arm on a sector shaft out the side of the steering box. that sector arm has a splined hole for the sector shaft, and a taperd hole for the draglink pin. if the arm had rotational play.. that is BACKLASH

I'm probably not saying it right. The manual calls it the tie rod sleeve
