well I am searching for the right ZTR for me. I cut around 7 or 8 acres no slopes some lawn some pasture. some spots are prone to getting wet. mowers I have looked at so far john deere, cub cadet tank series, bad boy outlaw series, Husqvarna pz-60 series have all been eliminated due to control arms hitting my legs. ferris 3100, Hustler super z and toro pro 6000 34efi are still in the running ferris 3100 60 inch vanguard and the toro 6000 60 in 34 efi with hozizon will be about the same price $11,000 plus taxes . I still have to go see the Kubota zd326 , gravely 200 and 400 series, scag turf tiger and cheetah and big dog Diablo MP (red hustler) dealer. If the control arms come up and curve around your leg they seem to hit the bottom of my thighs the toro price is using the equine savings program which is 26% off msrp. I am looking at motors of at least 29 hp with 60 inch cuts. I can get a toro 6000 26.5 hp efi for 9500 plus taxes but I am not sure if it would have enough power. Would love to hear any advice any of you have

Can't go wrong with the Bad Boy Outlaw or the outlaw XP. Both are great machines.
If you have any questions or concerns let me know. I can steer you in the right direction.

The steering arms can be adjusted upwards to give your legs more room. To help also move the seat back so you can be more relaxed while sitting.

Currently selling 350+ a year and been that way for 8 years!

We have a Ferris IS700Z with a 52" cut. We do a lot of pasture mowing with it. The suspension is nice. You can't necessarily mow quicker due to the suspension but you sure can spend a lot more hours mowing with less fatigue.

Up does not help I need them to go down as they hit the Bottom of my thighs maybe the suspension seat would help but none of the dealers near me has one for me to try

Guess I just can't picture the issue at hand. The suspension seat Will make you sit higher up on the machine.

Get a commercial grade mower and you'll be happy. We've got a Hustler and it's been rock solid. I'd suggest you find a good mower you're happy with and if necessary, adjust the arm height with some DIY extensions or couplings to raise them up.

again
extensions will not help I need them to go down as they hit the Bottom of my thighs maybe the suspension seat would help but none of the dealers near me has one for me to try if you look at the picture of the bad boy xp in this ad Zero Turn Lawn Mowers | EZ Ride System | Zero Turn Commercial Mowers - Bad Boy Mowers and notice how the curved piece of the arm is touching his leg for me to use the bad boy I would have to sit with my feet together. After 3 knee operations that gets painful after a while. now if you notice on the toro http://www.toro.com/en-us/professio...l-zero-turn-mowers/pages/model.aspx?pid=74946 the arms come straight up and are positioned further out to the side of the machine (wider between the 2 arms )

Sorry, I thought you meant the top of your leg. Instead of extensions you could cut the arm down where it mounts to lower it. Or perhaps the better thing to do is bend your own arms to a position you find comfortable. The arms aren't that heavy a gauge of steel, so I would think it would be fairly easy to fab something up.

If you look at the Kubota Z 300 series you can see the arms come no where near your legs. I keep my feet spread pretty far apart when using my ZD323 and never have touched the arms.

so far the ferris and the toro/exmarks fit great without having to modify the arms. I still have to look at scag, hustler/big dog and Kubota. Part of me says just go with the Kubota zd326 because I have a Kubota tractor l3800su. Also Kubota has 0% for 60 months verses 0% for 42 or 48 months
